After contacting Costco- Oak Island, Jacob came out promptly with a great quote. I scheduled my new heater/ air conditioning and it was installed a few days later. WOW! Made an appointment for the next day because my heat wasn't working. Brandon was in my neighborhood today and took the time to stop by. I wasn't home, but he was able to check out my unit from outside the house. He had done some repairs for me in November. He left a note on my door saying everything looked good and giving me suggestions for the thermostat. I will always use Oak Island because they care about their customers. And Brandon is efficient and very professional. When you call in to make an appointment the people in the office are friendly and kind. They never make you feel like you're wasting their time. An excellent experience having Roger and his team replace our heat and cooling system here in Escondido. From beginning to end Roger and his team were very professional made minimal mess and continually cleaned up after themselves throughout the 2 1/2 days that they were here. They were able to install my heating system in the attic. This enabled the system to run quieter and create more closet space where the old unit used to be located. Jacob came out to explain my options and suggested ideas for getting more heat and AC to our back bedroom. The price he quoted was far below two other estimates for the same equipment so we were able to compare apples to apples. Morgan and the install crew were very professional and finished the install in less than the two days scheduled. Everyone knew their job and went about it with very little disruption to us. This was a large install, a complete HVAC replacement. The crew was very helpful and they answered all my questions, I'm a retired engineer. We had our home AC system installed by Oak Island several years ago and it was the best decision we could have made. From start to finish with the installation we were engaged with friendly, professional people. They called when they said they would, they showed up on time, and it was a breeze.
Since then, we've had Mike I. come out to complete a regular service on our unit several times, and he has done a bang-up job each time. He's personable and knowledgeable, and walks you through exactly what he's doing. He's also very conscientious of our cats, a welcome trait.
Our AC unit has been running like a champ, no mean feat during Escondido summers! We had one small issue this year (year 5) and Mike came out promptly and fixed the issue same day. Definitely value for money with this company.

Oak Island Heating and Air Conditioning did a great job for me on the installation of my two new AC units. Cris, owner, was honest, very nice and knew exactly what I needed to get done and how to do it correctly the first time. Cyrus and his partner were two of the most professional Technicians I have ever had do work at my home. They did the job right - protecting my flooring and cleaning up after themselves to the point it looked like they Nobody had done any work at my home. I highly recommend the team there for exceptional customer service, great pricing and a friendly staff who cares about what they are doing!

Cyrus came to install a new A/C condenser in my mother's house and did a great job in a timely manner, He was on time also. About 45 minutes after he left I noticed the condenser was making a loud noise so I called him back. He came right back. He found that the plastic pcp piping was collecting too much water in the A/C closet in the house. He worked on it and fixed the problem. He really knows what he's doing. He's a very nice guy & cleaned up everything. I appreciate good workmanship & he is an asset to your company. I think you should give him at least a 1 week paid vacation. ?? Oak Island consulted with us to determine our needs and price range and walked us through each step in the process of ordering, installing and getting our Costco rebate. We agreed that a two-zone system would be appropriate so that we could control the downstairs separately from upstairs. The system was reviewed by the owner of Oak Island Heating & Air Conditioning and they determined that it also made sense to provide a two speed compressor outside to improve the longevity of the air conditioner and they provided this upgrade at no extra cost! On the day of the install, Gene Clark showed me exactly where the unit would be positioned on the patio outside and only proceeded once we agreed on the exact placement. Most of the work was completed in one day for our relatively small condo but one of the parts was missing to finalize the two-zone system so Gene dropped by early Monday morning to finish the job. Since we live by the coast, just east of Interstate 5, we only recently started using the system as the late summer days here in San Diego County become hotter. Although, initially I was opposed to getting air conditioning when our furnace broke, I'm so glad we did now. The hot upstairs that despite a good cross breeze would just not cool down before and now I feel like I am staying at a luxury hotel when I slip into bed at night. Gene and his assistants were very professional and courteous throughout the whole process and I would highly recommend Gene and Oak Island Heating & Air Conditioning to anyone looking for a new HVAC system. Their systems are available through Costco (we spoke to a representative of Oak Island at the Palomar Airport Rd store) so ask about the rebate program. Gene C. 09/08/19 |

Oak Island installed our residential A/C system some years ago - we developed a tricky issue, and after two unsuccessful attempts to fix it with other technicians, Oak Island called out the heavy guns and Gene came by. In short order, he made the right determination as to the cause and installed the required part - and in no time we were up and running and the house was cooling down. Gene and Mark were amazing. We had a new air conditioning unit installed, so it was what we consider a big job! They arrived early and had the air conditioning installed and working in 3 hours! Clearly, they are professionals who know what they are doing, and are committed to making sure the customer is satisfied. I can't say enough about how great they were; I wish all home repairs/installations were like this!! Also, this is a great company. Family owned and operated - and it shows. Cyrus was able to come on very short notice concerning a problem with an AC unit. He quickly assessed the situation, gathered his tools and climbed into the attic where the FAU and evaporation coil are located. Though the issue was rather subtle and required partial disassembly of the coil housing to confirm his diagnosis, he was able to fix it and fully restore the system's operation in less than an hour's time. Cyrus is an extraordinarily customer-friendly guy with a reassuring can-do attitude and a high degree of professional competence.
