Mike J & Gabe W came to my house to fix a problem with the furnace not coming on. Mike is extremely knowledgeable, diagnosed the problem, and made quick work of the fix. He’s easy to talk to and answered all my questions explaining things in a way I could understand—neither talking “up” nor “down” to me like so many repair people do. I have used Mission Plumbing & Cooling for over 16 years and I know that before I bought this house they had been responsible for the yearly maintenance for the former owners. Always punctual, considerate, great listeners, up for any challenges, sticks with it, skilled and capable until the fix! This recent appointment with Mike J. and his apprentice that day, Joe, was no different. Mike was very aware of the importance of explaining in lay terms the issue at hand and highly congnizant of my individual situation regarding my new retirement and my fixed income, etc.,. He was very methodical in determining the problem which was not immediately obvious; and he went conservatively step by step to uncover the root of the issue without just making assumptions. The scheduling girls in the office are also 'top notch' and I've also spoken to Gene, the owner, in the past and he is very available and approachable. I use their services for my annual maintenance package on the AC/Furnace and believe that they have for the most part been highly instrumental in keeping things running smoothly for all of these years! Excellent technicians! We had a very tricky plumbing issue with our shower faucet due to hard water. They had a part completely shatter but were able to repair entirely. They also responded same day within two hours of when I called. Only issue I have is the company charges $89 trip fee to come out at all which I think is too steep. (See More)

They arrived when promised and Mike quickly diagnosed the problem with our furnace and was able to make the necessary repairs. Mike even listened to my description of an issue we've had with noise and vibrations since the furnace was first installed several years ago. Several repairmen have tried to remedy that problem over time (including some from MPHC), but Mike is the first one to actually solve the problem. Mike J. called before the appointment time to say he was on his way and gave an estimated time of arrival. He was on time, polite and very friendly. We are brand new home owners, but the landlord at the home we rented for the last several years had a service contract with Mission. We enjoyed the peace of mind and the service of Mike and Mission so much we knew when we moved into our new home we were going to sign up for our own service contract with Mission. Hot water heater quit heating water on Christmas Eve. Called Mission Plumbing Heating and Cooling and received a quick call back telling me unfortunately the technician was booked until midnight with folks who had no heat. We had heat so agreed to hear back on 12-26.
Received a call promptly at 0835 from the office telling me someone could come out mid day. We thought the problem was our Whirlpool water heater and a part under warranty had gone out. When Mike J. arrived around 1:30 he assessed the situation and found out the problem was caused by a blocked furnace flu that was allowing condensation to flow into the hot water heater burning out the pilot light. He spent the next hour cleaning out the flu and replacing some other small parts.
Upshot of repair is a hot water heater that is heating water again. Also advised us that our furnace that is almost 25 years old most likely needs to be replaced. We are going to decide what to do soon.
Can't say enough about the professionalism and knowledgeability of Mike J. He didn't try to force us to buy anything. In fact, he said if we call him back and say we want to get a new furnace and hot water heater he will send someone in sales out to talk with us and he will install if we buy.
We believe this company is a good one. Was recommended to me by a co-worker. That is why I called them in the first place. Would definitely recommend them. (See More)

I started looking for HVAC contractors by researching what size of system that was to be replaced. I then solicited recommendations from friends, family, and neighbors. I went to the offices of the recommended contractors to review with the staff what I had and what I was looking for. Mike was the second tech that came out but the first for Mission. I as previously led to believe my ac system could not be charged if needed and he informed me that was false. Mike was very upfront and spoke easy about what exactly the issue was. He figured out a small problem and also said I was fully charged already. He was mostly helpful by explaining how the system worked, what I could do to help it and maintin it. And that I have a few years left but now to start planning financially for a whole new unit. He did go into detail as far as cost and what I really need, nothing to try and make me purchase anything more. Mike J. was at our home to provide service for the HVAC system installed by Mission PHC last fall. As with the installation, the maintenance service was done when they said it would be and appears to have been done well. We have a service plan with Mission Plumbing Heating and Cooling and they come out twice a year to service our units. We have always been impressed with the amount of knowledge their service techs have and also do a great job explaining any issues and the cost!! We had Mike J come out when we had an emergency with our AC unit. It was a 90 degree day and it wasn't working and Mike quickly figured out that it was a relay switch and had the cooler air blowing within 30 minutes!!!! I will be asking for Mike J in the future!!!!
