Last week we placed a service call for a thermostat issue. Anthony showed up promptly and not only resolved that issue, but made sure everything was working correctly and that all of our questions were answered. Excellent service! Our system was installed new in March. Just received June power bill and was happy. Collins told us our cooling bills would drop to about 60% of what they had been. They were right! (See More)

Having left my existing HVAC company I'd been with for almost 10 years because they took me for granted and did not continue to earn my business, I was cautious coming to a new company.
Being that CCM had partnered with Costco, and I'd also received a private referral to them as well, I thought they were a fair bet to buy and install my first new heat pump.
Sales were good, even lowering the cost slightly as the credit finance company lowballed (without telling me) my initial amount request - when applying online, there is greater incident of fraud, but I was doing as the sales rep instructed.
My understanding was that on the day of the install, both the sales rep and installation mgr for CCM would be present, that was not the case, nor did I receive contact from either one.
The techs that did the install were fine, and the install itself only suffered one snag (a wire needed to be added), increasing the time needed by two hours - and left me feeling rushed as the pair were late to the next appt. and l was aware of that. The unit has worked as indicated since then, and I am ready to schedule an initial follow up soon.
(On a side note, I did have to call three times to get a person in finance to speak with - which was frustrating. I want to conduct my business via email, and not by phone.)
Overall, I will write that I'm not impressed, but I am hopeful that this bumpy start will blossom into a smooth road in the future and that I can come back here in a year's time and write that CCM changed course and delighted me with service from now on. (See More)

The whole experience exceeded my expectations, from the person at Costco who started the process, Neil Chrisney who provided the proposal and estimate, the install crew who were outstanding in their attention to detail, and Matthew H. who performed the final quality audit. The unit is on a rent house and is working well. The tenants are especially pleased with the high end thermostat which perfectly fits their lifestyle. The package unit on our own home is over 30 years old and will need to be replaced some time. I will know where to go for a replacement. (See More)

I recently had a complete AC/Furnace system installed by Collins Comfort Masters and it was a great experience from start to finish. The crew arrived right on time and were very polite and professional. They laid down cloth runners and cloth beneath the attic area where they were working. The crew work hard throughout the day to install the equipment and added an intake vent and additional exhaust venting to balance the AC/heat throughout the house. The crew tested the systems and educated me on the thermostat functionality. They did a nice job cleaning up and removing all debris. A separate technician came to the house a week or so later to conduct an quality audit. Although I have not had the need to run the heater or AC for any extended period of time, I was very satisfied with the installation process and the customer service I received from all the Collins Comfort Master employees to date. Also Dan was very helpful in adjusting my new thernostat, which possibly will have challenges for me, with all its bells and whistles. Hector worked very hard as well. It's only been a week since it was installed so don't have much experience yet with the unit itself. I'm not at all happy that they put the unit on a pedestal with letting me know ahead of time that they were going to have to do that. It should have been a more permanent structure instead of cobbled together and covered with sheet metal with gaps at the bottom. The lead service man, while very pleasant, did not have a good grasp of the English language so was unable to really explain the thermostat or the pedestal nor why the separate split unit base was not put on level ground. We went through Costco for this A/C project. The salesman, Hector assured us that they knew how to handle 3 phase electricity. After the install, half the house wouldn't work as far as electricity. They didn't put the A/C on a separate breaker, and the c leg of the wiring, hooked up to breakers. After several attempts to fix, and blowing the surge protector on our electronics, they hooked up washer, Dryer, and microwave to a 15 amp breaker. Then sent out a different company with the wrong wire, to assist. We finally had to call our own electrician to fix. Glad the house didn't burn down! (See More)

Have been very pleasant and helpful.
From our first service call on the three units installed by the builder to the purchase and install of three new LEnnox units were pleasant and all services were done in a timely manner and all technicians were very courteous in their explanations of what they were doing and why they were doing it. They were patient and understanding to all
Household members while explaining the setup of the new
Thermostats and the new units.
The Lennox units are much more quiet and more efficient than the previous ones.

After making the initial appt., Randy came out to my home and spent some time explaining in detail the “good, better & best a/c systems!” He really knew his stuff and made sure that I understood it too. I ended up going with the best system and am so happy I did. The day before the install, CCM sent out a tech to set up 2 portable a/c’s so that my animals wouldn’t overheat during the one day install! What a nice touch that they care enough to do that. The 2 men that installed the system showed up on time and worked hard as a team to get the job done. At the end of the day, after several hours of being there, they cleaned up every single thing and took ample time to show me how everything worked and answered all of my questions. I am so impressed with this company and would highly recommend them to everyone.

Never before have we experienced the level of customer service as that which we received from Collins Masters from the initial phone call to setup a consultation regarding the replacement of the A/C unit to the follow up quality control visit after installation. Very friendly and professional crew. We were so impressed with the installation crew who worked thru lunch to ensure a timely installation. I had two Lennox split systems installed through the Costco HVAC program. The Costco rep, DJ, got me a quick consultation appointment. The salesman, Garrett, was professional, knowledgeable, thorough in his evaluation of what I needed, and provided me with a fair and equitable price quote. The additional Costco perks really helped.
On the install day, Armando and his team arrived promptly on time, and went straight to work. They were all personable, answered all my questions, clean, and respectful of my home and surroundings. The field manager, Blaine, made an appearance to see how the install was progressing...very personable and answered more questions.
When the install was complete, wow...never had so much cold air coming out of the registers, and the systems were so quiet. A few weeks later, a final inspection tech, Travis, arrived to insure the systems were installed properly and working as they should. Again, very personable and took time to answer any remaining questions.
All in all, a very pleasant experience from a company that's truly concerned with customer service and satisfaction. Highly recommended for all your HVAC needs. (See More)

That’s the word that comes to my mind when it comes to my experience in getting a new AC unit for my home. It began with the lovely, friendly lady inside the Costco warehouse, taking so much time to explain the process. Then the follow up with Mr. Hector Gonzalez who met with me to explain in detail what work was going to be done. I felt a sense of peace knowing that a team of profesionales were handling such a hefty $$$ responsibility’s for me. I’m a regular middle income earner and to dish out thousands of dollars can be scary. The Collins team was great to work with. During the install there was a minor hiccup, they had accidentally turned the breaker off to my refrigerator, thank goodness I caught it before food could go bad. When I asked one of the workers of it was supposed to be off he said he wasn’t sure and would ask his colleague. He was busy on his phone walking back and forth and never asked his colleague why it was off. After about 20 mins I went into the attic and asked the guy myself and he indicated it was off by accident. The younger guy was either new or lazy and I wasn’t impressed, however the 2 other guys were extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable during the install. The sales guy was great as well and sat down with me to explain everything. I was under the impression that after the install was completed, a quality control guy would come by a week later to make sure everything was installed properly and I have yet to receive any call about that and it’s been 3 weeks. Buying a new A/C unit is very daunting and expensive. However, working with Randy Wilcox he broke it down where I could understand exactly the pricing. He weighed my options and answered all of my questions and totally delivered what we had a agreed upon. The installation team was equally great! They came in and installed and had it up and running, Chris Warner, Chris Baldwin and Alex Anderson were considerate when they came into the house and tried not to track in dirt or installation from the attic. I purchased 2 units and as it turned out the smaller unit was faulty from the factory. About an hour after the installation team left it was making a horrible grinding noise and blowing extremely hot air. I shut it down and made my first call to Randy. He in turn made contact with the office and they arranged for someone nearby to come and check it out. Upon inspecting the unit they determined it was bad from the factory and they ordered a new one to replace it. I had it the very next day! They got it installed and I haven't had a problem since. This of course was at no cost to me. I have recommended several neighbors to Collins Comfort Masters and will continue to do so. A very expensive event but was an extremely pleasant one! (See More)

Quality of installation was superb and clean up was spotless. Since installation, I've been able to set my system at a higher temperature which should help with my bill. One week later Collins sent an inspector to make sure job was done properly (which it was). I really appreciated Collins going above and beyond with this additional step to confirm unit was installed and running correctly. 1. The inspection didn't consider the install site properly. Thus, the two day job took six days.
2. The technicians sent to install the inside unit were all sick- or all three had allergies on the same days as the install. Nice guys that couldn't get the job done within the estimated time.

After 17 happy years in our built for us home, they day all Valley residents dread finally arrived: a failed AC unit during the summer. After a visit from our longtime AC company confirmed an indoor coil had failed and stopped our Trane. All of us determined the repair of such an old unit was not advisable. They then gave us a quote for replacing our units. Yes, unit(s). The cost of replacing one or two units is daunting...and our home has *gulp* three AC units! When faced with such a large monetary decision, we naturally decided that getting more than one quote was in order and boy are we glad that we did. Because after obtaining a second similar quote, we remembered the Lennox AC kiosk at Costco that we walk past grocery shopping every week and called the toll free number for a quote that led to Costco arranging for Collins Comfort Masters to send out Steve T. who did a very through inspection, (finding some problems in the original installation) questioned us about what we liked and did not like about our old system and then presenting all of the options available to us to chose from. After narrowing it down to the 2 systems we felt were the best fit for us, Steve immediately produced 2 quotes that would have been a bit higher than the first two companies quotes but when the available Costco discounts were deducted made their price substantially cheaper. That 3rd quote was the charm! Steve had already spoken about details of CCM's installs and had shown us sample pictures of past installations. We felt comfortable signing up on his first visit and an install was scheduled. The excellent communication continued as Kelly from Collin's called the day before the agreed upon installation to confirm the time and provide details and answer all of our questions. Later that day we received a follow up call from Steve to advise that one part for the 3rd system was back ordered and the install would now be a 2 day affair. In hindsight, that turned out to be a good thing as it meant there was always one system running keeping one zone of our home cool. Early on the morning of the first install day, multiple Collins Comfort Masters trucks rolled up and at least 6 uniformed installers introduced themselves. ( John C., Armando G., Chris, B, Mo, Chris W. and Anthony) They each set about the job at hand, removing the old outside and inside units. They were all polite, respectful of everyone and of our home. Paper booties were worn inside until floor protection was laid down. Cleaning was a ongoing and constant process, indoors and out. As we had been informed, after the initial removal and setting of the outside units some of the crew left leaving John, Armando and Chris to finish. Kelly had told us it would be an all day job and it was. Having been welcomed to watch and ask questions through out the day, it quickly became apparent the the quality of the install far, far exceed that of the original equipment. So many details that had been skipped before were now addressed. These guys were not merely installers, they were craftsmen, a term I don't bestow lightly. These guys worked almost non-stop for 12 hours on a Friday, not leaving until everything was tested and running perfectly, any of our concerns were properly addressed and any of our questions, no matter how trivial, were answered. They left leaving the inside and outside of our home without a trace that they had been there, save a small CCM sign proudly displayed in the front yard. After a lovely weekend with full cooling restored, John C., Armando were back bright and early on Monday morning with a new face, Daniel, to replace the final old unit, this one in an attic. (in August!) Needless to say, they did the same high quality work. The performance of the 3 new units has definitely exceeded our expectations. I would go so far as to say they have been transformational to our home. Rooms that used to be a bit warmer no longer are. Big temperature swings have all but been eliminated, the temperature never varying by more than a degree or two. They are much quieter. They stop and start much less obtrusively, yet we did NOT go with the much more expensive variable speed blowers. You aren't frozen under one vent while barely feeling a whisper of cool air under another vent. We certainly feel we made the right choice and now look forward to many years of happy comfort. It was 110 in Scottsdale, AZ the day of the install but things could not have gone better. The men who did our installation (Anthony, Diddie, and John) were thoroughly professional and courteous. They took great care to be clean - they put footies on over their shoes every time they came in the house, put down floor runners, and did a thorough clean-up job. They worked long and hard to make sure everything was done correctly, rather than taking short cuts or trying to get in and out as fast as possible.
After the air conditioner installation, they sent out a drywaller (Jeff) to patch a few nail holes, and he too was extremely professional and did an outstanding job.

In the middle of June in AZ already getting hot for a week without a/c they brought over a portable unit to help break the heat. During installation: very thorough and thoughtful. They identified some junk venting the previous contractor had just discarded and they offered to take it to the dump for me. After installation they were packing up and noticed one of my other units was missing the insulation around the coolant line and fixed it up no charge. Overall I think they did a fair job. The two guys who came to do the install were friendly and efficient. When spending as much as I spent on a new unit I would have liked to have received some sort of follow-up either a phone call to see how it went or someone stopping by to check out the install. Someone stopping by would have been the preferred method so they could see the issues cited below. I believe the guys doing the install did a pretty good job however the stand for the unit did not really fit right and they had to "make" it work and bend an exhaust port on the roof, and drill the stand into the roof which from what I understand is not "normal". My understanding is the stand should sit on the roof and should not have to be drilled in. I am waiting for summer before I can determine if the unit is sized correctly to the house. According to the heat load test it is sized correctly. I don't think I would go out of my way to recommend the dealer however if asked I would be honest and fair in my assessment. (See More)

we purchased the best variable speed we could afford. no one told us that the system would maintain a higher level of humidity in our house. i have a lung disorder and this has been a nightmare. several phone calls to dealer - told it was the humidity from the toilets (seriously that is what they told us). second time, told there was nothing that could be done. finally called the salesman who sent someone to adjust it. no change. sent another one to adjust it. less than 3 weeks after install. and they charged us $72 for a service call. i have a system that i now must set several degrees lower than our old system - and the humidity is nowhere near what our dealer said his is in his house. so go figure. i think the salesperson tried to help but we are just stuck and they apparently can't figure out what to do or just can't be bothered. either way, a disappointing experience. The 2 installer's i have to commend considering in Arizona in the summertime it's hot. Well by thier calculations in our attic it was about 160 degrees. Call Collins Comfort for quote for new a/c. Salesman rated our home as needing only a 2.5 ton unit even though we live in Arizona where temperatures reach as high as 120 degrees. Our home is 1500sf and has a vaulted ceiling of 18ft at center. They did eventually replace the unit with a 3.0, only after we entered a complaint with the BBB of Arizona. The GM came out and agreed the unit should have been 3.0 ton and we never heard from him again.
We feel we were pressured into buying a unit that we did not feel was compatible with the SF of the house, however we did finally get it changed out. We also wanted to get quotes from other dealers but was told by the salesman that he did not have time to come back to write up paperwork because of other commitments that week, causing us to lose a rebate if we waited.
