Nass was very professional and friendly from the first minute I met him! He explained exactly what happened to my water tank, replaced the old tank, and coached me on a few items regarding the tank that I was not aware of! I also saved some cash as I was a member, just recently signed up, so that was good timing on my part, and ZERO regrets about doing that! The person who answered my initial call was very courteous, and very quick to give me answers, and steer me in the right direction. Chris in dispatch was great, and kept me informed about when Nass was going to get to my house.

I wanted to do another review for Jasmine P,as we had her dispatched to our home on December 6th,2022 because we had a clogged drain pipe.She arrived quickly and set up her tools and equipment to do the job for us.She is an extremely professional employee and craftsperson.We have never had a female do work for us before but we were extremely happy and grateful to have her do the plumbing work for us.She is a super hard worker,extremely efficient and fast.I noticed right away how she looks after her tools and equipment which is great for company owners to see as some workers do not take the pride or care in their job as Jasmine does.I am a craftsman myself,and I am very perceptive when watching how people work.I saw no flaws in Jasmine's work.She is extremely knowledgeable and skilled.Ladies like her in the trades do not receive the respect they deserve,unfortunately.After our job was completed today,we would not hesitate for a second to ask for Jasmine to do work for us again,the same goes for Justin L.We appreciated Jasmine's "assistant plumber,muscle man",Robert M whom assisted Jasmine in lifting a very heavy piece of drainage clearing equipment from her work vehicle.He was an absolute pleasure to talk to and we would not hesitate to have him do work for us in the future as well.Thank you very much,Jasmine and Robert for your hard work on our plumbing job!You two awesome people!

My furnace broke early Saturday morning. I was recommended Border plumbing and heating by my neighbour. First thing on Monday morning I called the office, the response was fast. In no time, Jeff came to diagnose the problem. He was personable and did a fast diagnostic assessment. Needing a new furnace. While Jeff was still here, Denver, the comfort advisor was in the neighbourhood and came to give estimated and presented the choices. He made it easy to choose the right furnace. At the first chance on Thursday morning, Luke and Warren, installers were here with the new furnace. They were friendly, knowledgeable with good workmanship. Luke gave great follow up instructions. Was very thorough in his explanation as to what to look for in the future and gave me an estimated of two parts that may need replacing at some point in time. Border’s friendly, professional service is very much appreciated by these seniors. Jeff C. was accompanied by Aaryn R. whom he was training in furnace maintenance. We knew Aaryn from a few weeks previously when she carried out the servicing on our air conditioner very efficiently.
Jeff explained the process to us thoroughly and resolved a minor issue with the humidifier as part of the service. As well, he recommended a new igniter as the current one had become corroded. They were able to install one immediately thus saving us the problem of replacing it, perhaps urgently, at a later date.
Both Jeff and Arryn are very pleasant to deal with and are good communicators. Once again, quality of service was excellent and we will not hesitate to use Border services for all of our home maintenance requirements. We highly recommend the company to others who may be searching for a high quality, professional company.

Our furnace needed a tune-up. Fortunately, your company performed the task. As in the case of previous services you provided to us, the work was done properly by Ashley West who took great care in inspecting, cleaning and testing the performance of our furnace. The “System Health Report” that she prepared, added to the clear explanations she provided, gave us the level of confidence that homeowners love to receive from experts.
Another benefit when dealing with your company is the manner in which your employees treat customers. Ashley and others we had the pleasure of dealing with took great pride in accomplishing their tasks from the time we contact them until the work is completed to our entire satisfaction. We knew it had to get repaired quickly and reliably but didn't know who could do it. We called Border and they came over and had it fixed within 1.5 HOURS of our our initial call!!!! Their customer service was the best I've experienced in any industry. They were knowledgeable, honest, and genuinely cared about the problem we had. I cannot believe it. The worst customer service I have received. I have used Border for all our needs finding they were professional and experts in their fields. Not so at all. Summarized they sent two plumbers to investigate a water leak in a crawl space (under a mobile home). Neither one had coveralls and used the excuse that there was pooling water and it is safety issue. They took a fuzzy pic to show pooling and sent it to the office. They didn't show me the pic but I believe that the pic shows the glare off of the sheet metal used underneath in the same area for the a/c system. Talking to a couple of restoration companies, they both said that it sounds like the plumbers were just lazy and unprepared and looking for any excuse to get out of the job. When I mentioned the name of the plumbing company to the restoration companies, sounded like they were well aware of their performance. I really didn't expect that. I have a plumber on his way to do the job that should have been done by Border Plumbing. A man who isn't afraid to put coveralls on and get the job done. Disappointed, Border. And your fill in words about stocked trucks in other reviews doesn't cut it here, nor the safety issue. From the very first phone call the service has been super friendly and knowledgeable. I called having had no hot water for two days and in desperate need of a shower and was happily surprised that the technician would be here within the hour. Unfortunately it was most cost effective to replace the hot water tank but again I was happily surprised to be told it would be installed the next morning, and although this is probably not related to the actual service, that was one of the best showers of my life.
Lyle, the technician was really friendly, explained the problem and our options. We have tried different plumbing/HVAC companies in the past and usually left slightly disappointed and that did not happen with Lyle and Border. Denver (Comfort Advisor) was friendly and knowledgeable as he inspected my home and recommended the best options for me. Ryan (Installation Technician) and Dayton (Installer) worked expertly to fit the new system into my older home. They were respectful of my home and my preferences, and worked diligently to make the plan a reality. When we needed our water heater replaced, we called Border, they able to come out that morning relieving our anxiety. Luke S********no showed up right on time with a water heater and went right to work. he was very professional, clean, and tidy. The timing of the replacement of your old furnace and water heater is never great. Luke and Julius spent two days at my home and it was a pleasure to have them. Every step of the way the guys were super respectful and explained every step of the process. The quality of the entire service was truly exceptional and I definitely have piece of mind that the work was done above standards. Our furnace died (on a Sunday) and I called the emergency number. I was SO happy with the prompt response from Border Plumbing and Heating. Someone was here first thing yesterday to assess the problem and this morning, Dayton Bailey and Ryan Storozak arrived bright and early and replaced our furnace. This was my first time using Boarder. Our furnace stopped working and I called Boarder. Shortly after I received an update that a tech was on the way. This update had the techs photo and a contained a little information about his experience. I thought it was a nice touch. Within an hour, Jon Dean arrived and did not waste anytime. Disgusted with how this company operates. Make sure you get a second quote from another company because they quoted us $6,000 more for the exact same unit instal vs two other reputable companies. When talking to neighbors about our experience we heard horror stories of this company. One of which involved a hot water tank quote that was so high they called another company for a second opinion. And when the other company came to inspect the hot water tank. They noticed that Border had disconnected the wires on their A/C unit while they were there so that it wouldn’t work come spring time and they could then gouge them for a new A/C unit. The short version of our story: In summary: 6 weeks without heat, guarantee that the part will fix our unit, part didn’t fix the unit, charged us $800 anyway, refused a refund, quoted us 6k over other companies, they then went back on what they said and acted as though they informed us the part wouldn’t fix our unit. Disgusting company. DO NOT RECOMMEND. The details of our story: Our mini split heat pump broke down so we called border based off their good reviews (must be written by themselves!). They sent out a technician who informed us we could either replace the whole unit for “7-10g” or replace a part for $400, both would result in a fully functioning unit. So we replaced the part of course. In the middle of winter, we were without heat for 6 weeks while we waited for the part. Border seemed to have little sense of urgency with our issue. They dropped off 2 space heaters and that was about it. When the part came, they installed it. Charged us $400 for the part and $400 for one hour of instal. The unit still did not work and was exactly the same as before the part was installed. They still charged us $800. We then had to replace the unit. Even though we were assured by two different technicians that the part would completely fix our problem. Before getting Border to instal a new unit we decided to call around because 7,000- 10,000 seemed way too high. We found a two reputable companies that quoted under $4,000 for instal and the unit. Talk about robbery from Border! We requested a refund for the part and they were both rude and unprofessional towards us, making us out to be the bad guy. They insisted that they informed us that the part would likely not fix the unit. However, we had two technicians from Border directly tell us “this part will be all you need to fix the unit and it will be fully operational after this part”. I highly advise you look elsewhere.
