Don and Brad were knowledgeable and friendly while installing our new HVAC system. They went above and beyond what their job duties were. I was not originally going to use Blue Dot- however, I was able to finance the system and air duct cleaning all in one which helped ease the financial burden of both expenses. Side note: not thrilled with the person who came to give an estimate. I called this person off of a recommendation from someone- for air duct cleaning (thought he had his own business)...told me over the phone he could get me a deal for both air duct cleaning and new hvac- NEVER mentioned he was a contractor for Blue Dot until he showed up wearing a Blue Dot shirt. Also, he made it seem as if HE was the one coming back to clean the ducts- NEVER mentioned it was being outsourced to someone else. Happy with the installers but not so happy with the sales contractor. (See More)

Don and brad did a good job contending with the heat in the attic installing both the Ac and furnace. They did a very good job though there were 2 issues. 1 was the furnace was mis-wired to the compressor causing it to run all the time. And 2 the Freon lines required about 8 ozs to compensate for the length from the AC unit outside. (See More)

We needed a furnace and called Blue Dot. The technicians were very friendly and we were happy with the work. After they were gone we noticed one of our power tools was missing. I called the company repeatedly asking if it had been picked up by accident when the techs were cleaning up since NO ONE else had been in our home for weeks. I was promised that they would check and get back to me. No returns calls have been received and it's over 6 weeks. We purchased a replacement for the tool but it is sad. We paid premium a premium price and expected that the company was reputable (in 30+ years as homeowners have only ever used BGE or BGE Home). It's sad that the only recommendation Blue Dot will receive from us is that our power drill disappeared on their time. (See More)

Don and his crew were fantastic! Very knowledgeable and explained things throughout the day. When they needed to move things around for the install of the furnace they were respectful with my belongings and put everything back when the job was done. When they ran into a small "communication" problem between the thermostat and the unit they re-traced their steps and took diligent precautions to make sure everything was working and found a small tech problem with the new unit and fixed it quickly. They were not rushed at the end to the day to get out.. they wanted to ensure a 100% working system and I really appreciate their attentiveness to detail. (See More)

I am so happy that I found Blue Dot when I was looking on line for HVAC service. They sent someone the same day to assess my problem, then an HVAC Comfort Advisor came to explain what they recommended I do. The very next day the team was here, also a crane, which was necessary for the job. Everyone concerned was helpful, polite, worked very hard, addressed all my concerns, left the work sites, spotlessly clean. I am really thrilled. The sales person Doug was great through out the process, had a little clich scheduling the inspection but that was miss communication. The rough in team and their supervisor Mike ***** were awesome very personal and answered all the questions. the install team Don **** & Chris A were really good knew their trade and worked steady and the install looks great. Don took the time to really explain the new system and how to operate the thermostat. The teams were very clean and polite except one thing a large box of trash was left behind in my laundry room, may have been an over site as it was not in the immediate work area but none the less it's there and I have to haul it away. Sales: Mario, the sales person that came to the house, was very friendly. We spoke openly about what we were looking for, our concerns, the direction we were leaning, and he responded openly and frankly which was a nice change from a salesman. Didn't come across as trying to make the extra buck. We even had a concern that might have been a deal breaker, but he worked through it to get us what we needed. He arranged for installation to be when we asked for it (2 days later). Install team: Amazing!! Don and Brad were very friendly as well, showed up on time, and didn't slack off. Blue Dot was prompt to service our old furnace, which we decided not to fix as it was 23 years old. They explained our options, put together a reasonably priced efficient HVAC system (filled out the energy rebate forms), and installed the system the next day. The two installers, Don and Ty, were friendly, professional, polite, explained what they were doing, and worked steady for over 12 hours to install a new air conditioner, gas furnace, and humidifier... (all Carrier High Efficiency) that all work off of an Infinity thermostat. Don showed us how to operate the system and showed us the installations. Ty explained the air conditioning system. They started work very early in the morning as this was a big job. They were outstanding. This is a professional operation... the repair division, the person that put the system together, and the installers. The whole job, inspect the old furnace, put the system together, and install was done in 24 hours. Excellent! I recommend this company! (See More)

I couldn't be happier with my experience with Blue Dot. From the first contact with S L.I knew Blue Dot was the outfit I wanted to replace my HVAC equipment. I had talked to 4 other companies.. I was presented with multiple options and ultimately committed to a premium Carrier system. Blue Dot & Kevin found more rebate money for me than any other company. The install started promptly on Friday morning with Don, Ty, and Tom. They were very respectful of my home, laying down drop cloths and wearing shoe booties. Throughout the day, they worked in a fairly well planned orchestrated fashion, each man doing a task and moving to the next. Very professional. I was consulted as to how I wanted a number of details to be done. I appreciate that. They worked a long day and came back Saturday morning, finished the install, showed us how to use the new stat and left us with clean, high quality workmanship. Happy to report that your excellent record continues. I called Sunday knowing our unit was not working properly. The person on the phone quickly took my information and scheduled for a 8-12 for the next day. Matt arrived around 9 assessed the problem and presented me with the need for a major repair or a replacement AC unit. Within 2 hours Doug was there presenting the proposal and helping me reason through the options. No pressure, great information and easy to deal with. I decided to replace the unit and he quickly connected with people to finance with after again showing me several options. 10 minutes later the loan was approved and we scheduled for Thursday. I even had the option of the very next day because of a cancellation. Don and Dave arrived at the time promised and quickly got to work. They treated our home with care and worked very hard for 10 hours finishing the work and cleaning up as if no work had been done. Always good to know that Blue Dot can be counted on. Where there were installation choices to be make, they provided me choices and advised the best solution. So my furnace decided to officially retire during 20-30 degree weather. So I called around and most companies advised it would take one to two weeks to get a new furnace; that's the ones who called back or didn't hang up on me. However, when I went to Home Depot and they advised they would pass my info to Blue Dot I got a call in 15 minutes after leaving the store. In 2 hours a service rep was at my door. Now I was only looking for a new furnace to replace my 19 year old one which didn't bother to put in its two week notice. However, the rep gave me some good advice about also replacing my A/C which was just as old and would probably follow suit with my furnace. He made some great recommendations and got me into a unit which fit my budget, and got me into some great financing. Two days later the service techs were knocking on my door on time and ready to install my units; thankfully before my wife and daughter got sick of the cold conditions and moved in with my in-laws. The two service techs were very polite, and did a great job installing my units. They left the area with nothing broken or dirty, and I'm happy to say my house which was 57 degrees last night is 67 degrees and increasing by the minute. If anyone ask who I would recommend for HVAC work I would say 100% Blue Dot. The men and women of Blue Dot are top notch and I have no doubt they will continue to keep my unit running as expected. And I when these units decide to retire, guess who I will be calling for my next units? (See More)

Plus able to get everything set up to be installed the next day and offering a a/c unit for the window while we waited for installation. I can't say enough good things about Lou. He is so knowledgeable about the system he recommended that I trusted him for keeping me warm in winter and cool in summer, even though I was skeptical about heat pumps!. Don called early on the morning of installation, arrived on time, and introduced me to his assistant, Justin. They were so quiet that I hardly knew they were downstairs, hauling out the old equipment and installing the new. Blue Dot's guys did a great job installing a new A/C and furnace in one (albeit long) day. They arrived early, with a call in advance. The guys were professional, and wore their shoe covers. They removed all the old parts and debris and took it with them. The new unit was installed neatly and, after a couple of inevitable minor issues, the system was working great, hot and cold. Don and Justin arrived approximately 8:40 a.m. followed by Robbie a short time later. These men worked nearly non-stop until 8:45 p.m., eating their lunch while working and never stopping for dinner. They were polite and courteous at all times. I felt badly because they would not accept coffee or a soda or anything during this entire day. They cleaned up completely. Both Don & Jason where extremely professional and conducted them selves as technicians who know how to get the job done. they delivered & installed my new heat pump the morning after a snow storm and the entire time they were at my home working I didn't even know they were here. When the job was complete they walked me thru the entire installation and left the work area in better conditions then they had found it. Don was extremely careful and skillful in installing the furnace. In worked quietly and efficiently in overcoming some space problems related to the old furnace location. He had the machine shop construct a sheet metal modification which allowed installation of the humidifier on the return duct and he came back two days later to complete the project. Trai removed the old compressor and installed the new one, which he carried out on the coldest and snowiest day of the year. He later went over the placement of the unit with me but because of the cold temperatures, we have not as yet tested the unit. He cleaned up well and removed the pads from the elevator. Robbie returned with Don to install the humidifier. He was courteous and seemed to know what he was doing. In general we are very satisfied with the installation. From wearing booties and putting down drop cloths, the whole installation was neat and clean. They answered all of my questions and explained the operation of all of my equipment. WOW!!! We had a new heating and cooling system installed and I cannot believe the quality of the service that we received. In this day and age of claims by most companies to provide excellent service, it is very rare to find one that does. Blue Dot's service, and Donald in particular, are examples of excellent customer service. Donald and his partner worked 13 hours to get the job done and their work ethic was unbelievable.
