Chris is a great tech and always does a great job. He is very honest and doesn’t stall around. My last tech concerned me as he took way to long on the furnace on a 6month old unit. We have used Blue Dot for years. Now I have warranty work needing done, we will see how that goes. (See More)

On 10/1 we were scheduled for our matience check-up between 8-12'. At 12:30 I called and was told you were very busy and at 3:30 given the same reply. Mark finally arrived at 6:00. He was very curteous and efficient. We received no follow up calls from you regarding the delay. We also had to stay home all day waiting for the technian. A very knowledgeable service professional from Blue Dot systematically diagnosed the failure in the A/C portion of our heat pump today. He was both exceptionally friendly and detailed in explaining everything he was testing; which we appreciated - as we learned a great deal. He let us follow along as he checked the components - and we were there when he found the seriously damaged electrical parts (burned wiring, etc). Since our system was very old - and I asked for recommendation to replace - rather than repair the old system. He explained in detail the exact system that he had in his own home - and why he chose his system. He then listed in detail the parts that failed in my old system - and contacted another very nice Blue Dot person - who came and provided us a detailed description of a replacement system they could provide - and an estimate of the cost. He was also very cordial, and knowledgeable - and answered all our many questions. My wife and I were impressed and more than satisfied with the whole experience with Mark - and his colleague - so we decided the purchase the new system which is scheduled to be installed 4 days from now. The only point I didn't give you five stars was on scheduling, a five hour window is kind of tough making sure that you're here for that amount of time, but I understand how it can be difficult to nail things down. The call with a heads up as the technician was in route to our home was a big help. (See More)

We cannot say enough excellent things about Mark. He showed up on time , he was VERY pleasant and he knew his trade . He went through our new Carrier heat pump system giving it a checkup which was included in our purchased . Mark explained everything he was doing and gave up great maintenance tips . The tech did not seem pleasant. He did not speak right away. He seem like he did not want to be in the area where the home was located. He seem like he was agitated. My tenant also felt that way about his presence. I called to reschedule for yesterday no one called or showed up for the job. (See More)

This rating pertains to Mark Daisey as a service tech, only. It does not reflect entirely on Blue dot, with whom I've had a very experience otherwise. As far as Mark's service went, that was quite underwhelming. A few data should explain my rating better than all other considerations: 1. Duration of install: 5+ hours 2. Failed to properly select type of equipment in the new thermostat (i.e., selected standard, instead of high-efficiency furnace and 1 stage instead of 2 stages + 1 AC stage instead of 2 AC stages). 3. Failed to properly wire humidifier (I corrected the issue myself when I noticed it wasn't working) by not providing a common wire to the valve relay. 4. Failed to run the diagnostics for the return and discharge temperature probes and reversed their definition in the thermostat, causing negative delta T's to be reported. 5. Failed to run the "installer tests" on the system he installed and left the premises with an improperly function of the equipment control system. During the whole install demonstrated ample hesitation, lack of confidence and had lots and lots of comments about how unreliable the wireless systems are, about how "they" (I guess, that means Blue Dot?) are always skeptical of installing wireless-reliant system because of the many signals mixing around the houses, i.e., he was pretty much preparing the field for a downright failure of his work. He managed to squeeze by and get off the door with a system that was still running somewhat. But I had to spend the next 4 days troubleshooting and fixing what he either didn't do or did do but was downright wrong. During the whole operation, Mark proved only a superficial understanding of more advanced/sophisticated/modern control systems, a remarkable lack of technological literacy (at some point he was asking me if I connected the internet gateway to the USB port !?!? that gateway does not have an USB connection; only ethernet, as that's the only way one connects to a wired network / router / switch) and - in general - a rather averse attitude towards anything more than (very) basic HVAC stuff. Extremely strong contrast to the very professional and capable team that initially installed my system. (See More)

Mark did an outstanding job of evaluating my Carrier heat pump/ AC unit of 14 yrs - I had it install in June, 2000. He was thorough, showed me, & listed all of his concerns of my system. Afterwards he presented his evaluation with possible choices. Mark was professional in every respect and didn't try to sell/ dupe me into something I didn't need. Just lots of food to way and contrast - it is a 14 yr old system with some signs of age of which I am pondering my options. But Mark as a tech. I stand behind! Thank-you, Mark. I trust Blue Dot and when Mark recommended a dehumidifier for my basement, I went ahead and had him install it, along with a couple of surge suppressors. He explained what he was doing and showed me features of the unit. The installation went very smoothly and the area was cleaned up very nicely.
