I selected BELO to replace my twin HVAC systems in 2016. Since that time I have elected to participate in their annual start up maintenance program. This past year the service provided by the BELO technicians was absolutely superb. Beyond the outstanding courtesy extended by the technicians, I felt as though my investment in the program was well worth it. This winter’s start up by Clayton more than met my expectations for the contract maintenance on my furnaces. Courteous, engaging, and thorough, Clayton identified a couple of issues in both furnaces that might well have led to near term and possibly expensive repair requirements. I had a 2nd visit today from BELOMAN and for some reason I am unable to post another separate review for Clayton R. so I'm going post it here. Clayton R. has been to my house a few times over the years and I absolutely love how passionate he is about his job. It is obvious he enjoys the work he does and he's always eager to share the details about it. I find that type of disposition a rarity within the service industry, especially with technical work. I work in a technical field as well and find that most people do not have the demeanor appropriate for working directly with customers. Many are arrogant and act like the customer is an idiot. Clayton R. is the complete opposite of that and I commend him for that!
I am a huge fan of BELOMAN and I have been a customer for quite a long time. Over the years, I have worked with other companies providing similar services but they all fail to match the level of service your company provides. As a whole, I absolutely love the work ethic of all the BELOMAN employees I have encountered. This is one of the main reasons I have been a loyal customer for so long. Before your service person comes out they will send you an email with a picture of the tech and his name. You know for sure they are coming from the company and not just off the street. Had my heating system Fall tune-up this week. Our HVAC Tech for the past 3 years or so, Josh Agne was no longer w/Beloman, so we had our first visit from Dustin. Dustin quickly eased my concerns with a new tech. Absolutely LOVED Josh, had no reason to expect anything less than a positive experience w/Dustin. He arrived during his scheduled window. Was very friendly, personable and finished the inspection/tune-up of our new (2017) furnace within 30 minutes or so. He also took the time to explain and talk to me about the possible effects two air exchange vents (high and low) and resulting dust/lint collection could have on the furnace/blower and water heater located in the utility closet. Our washer/dryer combination sits on the other side of the wall from the utility closet. I had never been told that. I thanled Dustin for bringing that to my attention. Zach has been to my house before to service my HVAC, and he did a quick, efficient and thorough cleaning and tuneup of my furnace yesterday, preparing it for the heating season. He put in a new filter, and I like that the invoice can now be completed online. Zach was courteous, and that is something I appreciate. He is a proficiently sound technician, courteous and professional. John will take time to explain what he found with the system and what needs to be done. Definitely does not try to sell something that is not needed. When I called for service Yvonne at the service desk was very helpful and friendly. Nick was very thorough and not in a rush to get the job done and run. He checked things thoroughly inside and out. He actually took the top off the outside unit and cleaned it from the inside out. No one had ever done that before.
However that evening we noticed the unit was not running. He came back out the next day and assessed a short in the wiring between the furnace and the outside unit . He replaced the wiring and the fuse also, a minor item but he was being proactive to avoid another service call down the road. He was apologetic that the problem couldn't have occurred while he was here the first day and could have saved another service call. John is a very valuable member of your Belo team and goes above and beyond required tasks for a seasonal service call. He came in and did his deed with our unit but he also found a whiff of natural gas right next to our outside air conditioner unit and he immediately initiated a call to Ameran and found that they would be on the next plane to 58Patricia Ln. The gas company arrived before John finished and he had already given us details of individual to arrive and check the potential problem. John had already determined that it was a work requirement on the commercial side of the gas issue. The leak has been corrected by company and a side issue is they will replace on the commercial side of gas line, some additional pipe and valve items(??) at no cost to us. Once again, through the best practices and standards of Bel-O Heating and Cooling, John Krieg was able to identify a potentially life threating LP leak (i.e. life safety), clearly explain the danger, quickly and efficiently address the life safety issue. As a result, my family is safe, my LP leak is eliminated, and my (2) Carrier Infinity units are ”purr’n like kittens”. I couldn’t be more happy!
I feel John went above and beyond his typical service technician role in the fact that most folks would have simply removed the failed ball-valve, safe ended the LP lines, called for a replacement part and installed it a later date: leaving our residence without heating capability. The opposite happed, once the problem was discovered; John tried to correct the issue by re-building the failed shut-off (ball) valve, once that effort failed, he then clearly explained the situation to me, we collectively made a decision to have the entire piping assembly replaced with a solution that would eliminate the leaks. Most importantly, John would not leave his customer and his post/duty until the part arrived from the shop, was installed, and properly checked out. John made me and my family feel that we were the most important customer to him and Bel-O. In my opinion, John and his actions represents the finest this industry has to offer.

Your office staff needs to coordinate their operation, don't overlap their work...scheduling, updateing the client on the progress of the serviceman, & sending out email notifications of job scheduling 12 - 24 hours ahead of the arrival of the serviceman, & 8 - 12 hour for email electronic posting of the completed receipt. Maybe your office needs an electronic (computer) program to track the progress of the clients job, similar to the old manual status board & grease pencil/crayon... eg: job scheduled & client notified, notify client about estimated arrival, servicemans job completion/or backordering of parts for completion, & completion of the receipt & email/u.s.mailing of that receipt.

He asked if I had received an email listing his work team. I had not seen it before he arrived. Later I did find an email from Belo listing him as the tech who would be coming. The posting time on the email was at the same time that he was scheduled to be. If he was scheduled to service my furnace by the close of business hours the day before, that email should've been dispatched that evening, & I would have found it before his arrival the next day. However, I have routine maintenance done on my A/C unit every year, and from what I have read online, companies should be placing something down the drain to keep it cleared out. I had maintenance mid-August, then had to pay for a service call mid-September because the A/C drain line was clogged. I've never been given advice to put anything down it, either. We were pleased with the response to our plea for help in getting our hot water heater pilot light to re-light. We expected the $60 trip charge but were astounded at the $55 repair charge for a 10-minute visit. The representative, Colby, was very nice as was the phone person who got him to our house. However, the eventual $98 charge (we got $17 off since we are on a contract with Beloman) seemed somewhat excessive for what was done. Colby relit the pilot light by pressing the right buttons and waiting for the pilot light to ignite the heater. I guess it boils down to knowing which buttons to press. They were suppose to service my units because the regular service was delayed due to construction/remodel. I have a service contract. Guy showed up, didn't service anything. Cleaned one filter and sent a bill. I have three units all covered by the contract. I had to go out over Labor Day weekend to try to clean the units. You called non stop to come service. I was getting calls while I was talking to other divisions of your company. No one communicates to each other, its horrible. Then when my contractor Kent Scharf arranges service at a break in construction, you do nothing. A complete waste of time and why did I get a bill for work not properly performed under an existing service agreement? You need to get a Master Customer Service program to track service locations across divisions because you are portraying yourselves as bumbling idiots where no one knows what is going on. All the technicians have given consistently good service, whether for plumbing, or servicing my heating and cooling systems. I have been able to reach the office easily whenever I need service done. And the office manager calls to remind me when the twice yearly heating/cooling services are to be done, and again when the technician is on the way. I've been using Belo for my air conditioning and heating preventative services since 2002 and continue to be completely satisfied with their services. Always courteous, timely and obviously well versed in their specialty, I have had the same a/c and heater operating since the equipment was installed when the house was built back in 1994. And my current technician, Clayton assures me I still have years of service life left. I particularly appreciate the technicians taking the time to explain what they are doing and what to watch for during the year so that I can be prepared for most issues that might crop up. And the convenience of having my scheduled appointments already made before they even leave the house from the last visit takes the worry out of trying to schedule later. I was very pleased with the Belo Service Technician and the work he did. I was very upset with the cost of the repair as set by Belo. I checked on the part that was needed for the repair and found I could purchase the part for between $45.00 and $65.00 depending on the supplier. Belo charged me over $300.00 for a part. When I spoke to the operations manager regarding the price he told me that price included installation and one year warranty on the price. The service tech was here for approximately an hour to install and check the part. If I include the the initial cost of the price (retail price), the time for the tech to drive to my home, the service time to install the part and warranty I still cannot see paying over $300.00 for the repair. I am serious thinking of dropping Belo for my heating/air condition service. (See More)
