John K came out to diagnose whether our 18,000 btu window ac was repairable after it quit blowing cold air. He arrived promptly within the scheduled timeframe, thoroughly checked everything that could have gone wrong, found the locked up compressor, & attempted everything he could to repair it with the tools & parts on-hand. It was not able to be repaired, but John clearly explained every aspect of the problem & step he took to try to fix it, & i absolutely felt that he tried everything. For our heating system, we have a boiler that heats water, then hot water flows through baseboard pipes in each room to radiate the heat. I always thought this system was uncommon, as we could Never find any HVAC company that knew how to work on boilers, & thus spent 7 years limping through winter w/ unreliable heating as a result. We quickly came to dread winter after always fighting each day to keep the house above 55 degrees using expensive space heaters. Not only was Jerry happy to come check it out himself, he was Incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, & reassuring in every regard concerning how out new boiler would operate & how to get help should the need arise in the future. He understood all of our concerns after going so long w/o reliable heat, & was Most Accommodating in answering All my questions about the system & financing. I HIGHLY Recommend Him & BelO both!!! Furthermore, I’d like to Thank John Krieg as well, the serviceman who installed our new boiler. From start to finish, John was prompt, extremely courteous, & very thorough in ensuring that our new boiler was installed correctly & integrated efficiently into our existing pipe system, & also Happily & Thoroughly Helpful in answering all my questions regarding the system. Beloman Heating and Air Condition company is the only company we would use to service our boiler. John has been to our house many times for service. He is a proficiently sound technician, courteous and professional. John will take time to explain what he found with the system and what needs to be done. Definitely does not try to sell something that is not needed. When I called for service Yvonne at the service desk was very helpful and friendly. John is a very valuable member of your Belo team and goes above and beyond required tasks for a seasonal service call. He came in and did his deed with our unit but he also found a whiff of natural gas right next to our outside air conditioner unit and he immediately initiated a call to Ameran and found that they would be on the next plane to 58Patricia Ln. The gas company arrived before John finished and he had already given us details of individual to arrive and check the potential problem. John had already determined that it was a work requirement on the commercial side of the gas issue. The leak has been corrected by company and a side issue is they will replace on the commercial side of gas line, some additional pipe and valve items(??) at no cost to us. John installed a Honeywell VisionPro (wireless) thermostat in my 1950's house. John arrived within the window mentioned by dispatch. He was very pleasant and insisted on wearing (disposable) plastic booties which he put on and took off whenever he went out to his truck. John was very knowledgeable about HVAC thermostats and took the time to indicate in the owner's manual which wires were used for which connections - especially useful inasmuch as we decided to use existing wires to draw power from the furnace and to control the whole house humidifier. He cleaned up after his work. The Honeywell VisionPro was not the most inexpensive choice but left options open for the future with respect to multi-zone heating and cooling as well as internet control and outside temperature sensing. I am a very satisfied customer and look forward to continuing my relationship with this company! Moreover, I will be more than happy to pass along how extremely satisfied I am with Bel-O (in particular John Krieg) to my friends and fellow colleagues in the greater St. Louis/Metro Area.
Once again, through the best practices and standards of Bel-O Heating and Cooling, John Krieg was able to identify a potentially life threating LP leak (i.e. life safety), clearly explain the danger, quickly and efficiently address the life safety issue. As a result, my family is safe, my LP leak is eliminated, and my (2) Carrier Infinity units are ”purr’n like kittens”. I couldn’t be more happy!
I feel John went above and beyond his typical service technician role in the fact that most folks would have simply removed the failed ball-valve, safe ended the LP lines, called for a replacement part and installed it a later date: leaving our residence without heating capability. The opposite happed, once the problem was discovered; John tried to correct the issue by re-building the failed shut-off (ball) valve, once that effort failed, he then clearly explained the situation to me, we collectively made a decision to have the entire piping assembly replaced with a solution that would eliminate the leaks. Most importantly, John would not leave his customer and his post/duty until the part arrived from the shop, was installed, and properly checked out. John made me and my family feel that we were the most important customer to him and Bel-O. In my opinion, John and his actions represents the finest this industry has to offer.

They were suppose to service my units because the regular service was delayed due to construction/remodel. I have a service contract. Guy showed up, didn't service anything. Cleaned one filter and sent a bill. I have three units all covered by the contract. I had to go out over Labor Day weekend to try to clean the units. You called non stop to come service. I was getting calls while I was talking to other divisions of your company. No one communicates to each other, its horrible. Then when my contractor Kent Scharf arranges service at a break in construction, you do nothing. A complete waste of time and why did I get a bill for work not properly performed under an existing service agreement? You need to get a Master Customer Service program to track service locations across divisions because you are portraying yourselves as bumbling idiots where no one knows what is going on. And all this inefficiency has to be costing the company a bloody fortune. Think Lean Six Sigma!!!! (See More)

Bel-O came through in our time of need. Our a/c quit so we called them for help. We've used them for other heating and air system problems before and have always had good experiences. This time was no different. They were swamped with service calls all day so they had to help us after hours. They sent John, who was excellent. He was pleasant and professional, and he helped us not just by fixing the problem (thankfully just a blown capacitor and not a whole new unit), but also gave some friendly advice on how to make our home more comfortable by changing how we use our thermostat and manage the return air in the basement.
He could've said the unit was shot and I wouldn't have known any better. How often do you find kind, quality, HONEST service these days? I'll keep calling Bel-O for our HVAC service needs, and to replace my a/c unit when it does finally quit. (See More)
