We were having hot water problems for some time! I have 2 small children and was sick of waiting. I have heard of good ratings and jumped online to chat! Michael R recently came out to our home to look at a small hole in the Lead bend connecting the downstairs bathroom to the city drainage. After discussing the 2 options to fix the issue ($1100-1200 to replace it, or $150-200 to epoxy the hole and keep an eye on it) I decided on the cheaper option for the time being. After the 5 minutes of work was completed, my bill was $323 ! He gave me half price on the service call fee($35), so I’m not sure where the extra charges came from, especially since an epoxy kit at Home Depot is $25 or less. Needless to say, they won’t be getting any referrals from me. (See More)

What started out to be a not so good day for me ended very well when the technician from aiello came out to my home to give me an estimate. Not only was he professional, clean, got the work done in a timely manner, and didn’t mind my yapping dogs… He was also pleasant friendly and very willing to educate me on what my home needed for a future care.

Our hot water heater went out and Mike cam by that day to assess the issue and early the next morning had his team out to install the new hot water heater. Within 24 hours of my initial call the unit was replaced. Mike was very helpful throughout the process and while hopefully nothing else breaks, I would happily work with Mike and his team again. The actual service was very good, tech was right on time, very accommodating, and completed the job in a very timely manner. The only problem I had, and it may have because I used Aiello’s chat feature to get an estimate and to schedule instead of calling on the phone but the chat person told me someone would contact me in a few hours and no one did. When I get back to them I was asked what the issue was again and then asked to re enter all my contact information and address and was told again someone would contact me and this time they did. Bottom line, don’t use chat, just call, it’s less frustrating. (See More)

Frozen pipe. No one from my heating company could come for 5 days. In cold weather, unheated house meant probably 30 or more places heating and hot and cold water pipes burst. Mike R, from Aiello (no relative, not even same last name) was amazing. With all those holes, it took three trips to find and repair them all, but I expected it to take more.
Aiello isn't the least expensive plumber, but they are the most professional and reliable and there when they say they'll be. I've used them for emergencies before and I'll use them again if I need someone. I can't recommend them enough. (See More)

Michael R came to do an estimate on a plumbing job in our basement. He was not only nice and very professional, but he also made sure to clearly explain to me exactly what the problem was, and how he could fix it.
He was clear with the estimate and even gave my husband and I their military discount (thanks Aiello!)
He next day, he came back to actually do the job and brought his apprentice. They we're both very professional. They showed me the damaged pump that was causing the problem and then showed me the new pump and explained how it would work to keep my basement from flooding everytime I did laundry or flushed the downstairs toilet!
The end cost of the job reflected the estimate, no hidden or "pop up" costs!
I am very happy with their work and professionalism and have already referred them to a friend who was looking for a plumber.
I am glad to know that if I ever have any plumbing issues, I can call on Aiello to do the job and get it done right! (See More)

When Cindy N answered the phone we were quickly able to agree on a time for a service person to come out to look at my mom's toilet plumbing in her 1949 house (original plumbing). The upstairs toilet had flapper issues and a frozen water valve. The downstairs toilet was intermittently having flapper issues. Michael R and his trainee Nelson were prompt and able to fix the issues (which included turning off and on the inside water main that was also frozen). The jobs were completed satisfactorily within an hour and a half. Mike also identified that the water heater was in need of replacement in the future so that we could budget for a new one. They were very pleasant, told us what they were doing, and kept to the price quoted. (See More)

Put me in the "not a fan" category. Although I will give them an A for responsiveness and timeliness. They were only interested in selling me a new sewage ejection pump for $1,800 which I didn't need, and on top of it found other things wrong with the unit. In the end I needed a separate float switch which cost $50 with $250 for labor (which I still think was a bit high). I ended up paying Aeillo $200 for the visit. I can never use them again nor would I recommend them. (See More)

This is the second time that we have used Aiello Home Services. Mike R was out both times. Aiello called to confirm the appointment the evening before. Mike was here within the first 10 minutes of the scheduled window. Mike is quick and efficient. He explained what he was going to do and why he was doing it. Called Aeillo for an emergency water leak from my water tank. The final repair turned out very well and the repairman really knew what he was doing. My reason for 3 stars is because it took an unreasonable amount of time for anyone to get to me and this was an emergency. I called around 5AM when I noticed the leak, and was told the first repairman could be there between 7 and 8. He arrived at 8:30 only to tell me he had to call his boss because he wasn't equipped for this repair. His boss didn't show up until about 11 (6 hours after my call!), meanwhile my water tank slowly emptied all over my basement, spilling into my garage. Good news was they took so long there wasn't much left in the tank so it made very little mess coming out. But I think next time I'll try someone else when my house is slowly flooding. (See More)

I was impressed how quickly the answering service took my information and scheduled a time slot for the next day between 12-4. To my surprise, I was called around 10:30 by Amanda telling me that Mike was on his way and would be earlier than anticipated, making sure that was ok. I couldn't have been happier. Mike came out in response to our late night call the day after Christmas regarding a broken pipe and water heater. He was professional, friendly, and went out of his way to make sure the problem was taken care of. He also installed a sump pump for us! New water heater had to wait until the morning (needed a bigger size than what he had on his truck) but he came bright and early and got the job done! This company is a JOKE!! Do NOT waste your time even calling them as they are a RIP OFF! We called them to do a SIMPLE hook up for our new sink we purchased. All we needed were a few pipes (2 to be exact which cost $3.50 at home depot/Lowes) to connect the new sink to the main drain and to connect the faucet along with mounting the sink to the counter which only consists of clips that have to be screwed into the counter. All you have to do is attach the new pipes to the existing drain and put some plumber putty to seal out the water and the job is done! The technician gave us a quote for $899.00!!!!! Are you kidding me! Stay far far away from this company and call a reputable company that charges fair prices and do their business properly. Called another plumber, whole job cost $200!!!!! Would NEVER recommend this company and will be making complaint to the BBB and CT Consumer protection. (See More)

Feel as if I was totally taken advantage of...I called Aiello to fix a leaky faucet....I was told that they did not have the part needed to fix the leak...said the insert in the right handle was the culprit and they did not have the part to fix it as they couldn't determine the type of faucet I had...Not sure how a leak can arise from the cold water handle....Guess what...they just happened to have a faucet that they could sell me...After mumbling a price I took to be approx. $200 they installed this monstrosity of a faucet for my small kitchen....Then, I was handed a bill for over $600. They also took my original faucet so I can't go back and prove that I was scammed. How does a leaky faucet end up costing a person over $600 to fix! Feel as if I was totally played...I couldn't find the exact same faucet online but similar ones by the same manufacturer were never more than $250. Wish I could post picture so people could see just how stupid this faucet looks in my kitchen. Looks as stupid as I feel for letting them take advantage of me. It's disgraceful...and sad.

I contacted Aiello Home Services in response to one of the monthly email we receive. The young lady who answered the phone was very polite and knowledgeable regarding my plumbing concerns. She forwarded my request to Michael R who came to our home promptly.
Michael R looked over our plumbing issues thoroughly. He looked up all the information and sat down with me and advised what was best for our situation. The work was done quickly and professionally. Much Thanks to Michael R. of Aiello Home Services for showing up first thing Monday Morning, explaining the repair to my main sewer pipe in basement ( letting me watch from a safe distance while he 'snapped' the bad section of pipe out of the line and fixing it all- within an hour & a half for a SUPER fair price. The problem was not fixed. We where charged around $400 for tightening the toilet, however the leak continued. After looking ourselves around the house we discovered that the leak was coming from the laundry and not from the toilet as we were told. In summary, the problem was mot investigated thoroughly enough and the leak was not located correctly. (See More)

My specialist Michael R was very professional and he did a great job. But the price they charge me to snake a drain was ridiculous. As a home improvenment contractor i can not comprehend how they come up with these prices, almost $288 and change to snake a drain wow thats crazy . and I will not be calling them again. (See More)

Technician was knowledgeable and no question solved the problem. On the negative side....it was very expensive. For about 3.5 hours work the bill was $800. $228/hour. I'd have mixed emotions about recommending you or for that matter using you again. True you were competent and solved the problem but $228/hour? (See More)

After diagnosing the leaking faucet, the recommended work was way to expensive. I guess the same day service is built into the price and our leak was not an emergency so we declined. Since our leak is not an emergency we will have the work done at a more reasonable price. I rated #6 a 1 but it should really be Not Applicable because we didn't have any work performed. (See More)

Great timing to come out the same day I called, however VERY EXPENSIVE. I'm okay with the $50 fee to come into my house for 10 minutes but the diagnostic price just to see and estimate on what it could be was outrageous! (See More)
