Chris from Affordable came out after hours to fix a leak in my water main. He did what he could that night and came back the next day with help to ensure the job was done. Our story starts when we had a leak in our garage below our 2 year old $5,400 tankless hot water heater. We checked the outside of the unit & didn’t find any leaks. The pool of water traveled under the sheet rocked wall to the other side where our furnace was. We opened the cover of the furnace and saw nothing. We decided to call Affordable Service Inc. Next-door recommended them along with Service Tech Kurt. We immediately called Affordable Service Inc. at 9:30 pm on January 19th & left a message. They called us back the next morning. Kurt & Travis were available to come out to see what was going on. Found out it was a leak inside our tankless due to corroded pipes because of high mineral counts in our water! The count was over 400! Tankless water heaters can not handle that high mineral count. Had we known that, we would have never had it installed. Kurt suggested a Bradford White 50 gallon Hot Water Heater with a recirculating pump that Travis would attach. It keeps the water circulating so it stays the temperature you want it. We decided to take Kurts' advice & so glad we did! Travis came back a few days later and took out our damaged tankless unit & installed our new hot water heater! He tested everything and then showed us how it works & what to do to change the settings. He cleaned up & took the old unit with him. And left the garage spotless! We now have instant hot water immediately. We are just so happy! Thank you, Kurt & Travis! You were very Professional, Knowledgeable, Courteous & Sweet! We love you guys! Affordable did a great job fixing our main waterline leak. I called @ 7:30 in the morning and they had someone here at 11:00 that day. They were reasonably priced and everything is fixed as it should be.

Kevin was very professional and thorough. Kevin checked overall system functionality. He made repairs to exhaust piping that were leaking, cleaned drain lines, improved blower performance by checking wiring on control circuitry, adjusted gas line inlet pressure. These are things that you would expect on a service call that were not previously checked by a competitor, with whom we have had service for 7 years.
Kevin listened to our concerns and questions and addressed each one. We are changing our annual contact and any other services to Affordable Service.

Kevin and Story showed up on time and ready to work. The job was to tear down a jury-rigged return box and replace it with a properly constructed one. Since the original installation had employed some “creative” solutions, the two technicians needed to untangle those knots before replacing the box. Despite the challenges, they completed their work in the estimated time and installed a return box that will improve air flow, air quality and reduce noise. I’d recommend this team to anyone. He and a Helper named ****** recently performed three jobs on two occasions at our older vacation home in ******** **: replacing a leaking shower valve cartridge, flushing and draining a water tank, and replacing a leaking air gap and hose to the garbage disposer. ***** was obviously knowledgeable, experienced, and friendly. He was thoughtful, pointed out five aspects of our water heater installation that do not meet code, but did not try to upsell me. Patrick T., Service Specialist, provided excellent service in troubleshooting my HVAC Refrigerated System. Although he could not solve the issue, he performed complete troubleshooting methods to determine the problem. He did isolate the individual components involved and determine that each was functioning properly, but only showed 'noise issue' when BOTH were running. Patrick T. showed extensive knowledge of HVAC Systems, used state-of-the art- equipment, was very polite and acted in a professional way. I was so pleased (and surprised) to get an offer of same-day service when I called this morning. I was told between 12:00 and 2:00 and Kevin Lenkowski showed up exactly at 12:00. He was able to get the refrigerated air going to cool the house down while he went for parts. He didn't fit any other jobs in between but came right back with parts and finished my repairs quickly. I was pleased to get a senior discount too! Kevin was professional and courteous and I would welcome him back if I have further need for repairs.
