They tried to scam me. I have the annual package to check a/c and furnace each year. This was my a/c check. My a/c is working FINE with NO issues. The tech told me I need a new a/c >$9k. When I challenged him the he said I just needed Freon $700. I challenged AGAIN. Then he said the *** is bad and needs replaced. So as a single female I ****** it and phone a friend to find out hes trying to scam me. The Voltage Absorption System aka electrical capacitor is a $60 part and theres no such thing as its bad. Its either working or its not. When I challenged him AGAIN he apologized and left. When he got out the front door he came back in to apologize again. I called the company to talk to someone in charge. The lady tried to get me to tell her the issue. I refused. I wanted an owner/ manager to call me back so I could talk live to them. A couple days later a lady called me back and asked again what the issue was. I refused to tell her and made it clear that I felt the tech was scamming me and I needed to talk to someone in charge. I have NEVER received a call back so when I got an email from the company to rate them, I gladly wrote this review. This company should be ashamed!

Our tech did a great job on our semi annual service. He also answered all my questions on whether it was time to replace the existing air conditioner and furnace which is now several years old. I recommend American Air because they have had excellent service in the five years since we bought this condo from the original owners.

Very professional installation crew. Did a great job installing and cleaning up after themselves. Explained new system to me and made sure any questions I had were answered. Told me things to keep in mind, possible sounds I may experience and recommendations for cleaning and routine maintenance.

We have used American Air for about 10 years now and have always been very satisfied with the service. They replaced our AC unit about 3 years ago. I called them for the replacement because I had used them for repairs on our old unit. What I liked about the company most was that I never felt that they were being dishonest or trying to price gouge me. We used them most recently for their $119 special for an AC checkup. They sent, Joel. We were very satisfied with his service. He was polite, prompt and efficient and just a joy to meet! We will definitely continue to use American Air!

Have you ever felt like you had been bamboozled or hornswoggled? I recently did business with American Air in Grove City. For $119 they said they would check my unit and clean it. When their employee checked the unit he told me it needed coolant and there was an iffy capacitor that he would provide at no charge (wink, wink) He then sat down with me and said that I should purchase the full year tune up and that it would allow me to purchase a maintenance plan that would cover every thing I needed at a discount. At no time did the gentleman offer an estimate for the repairs . He came back a few days later to add the coolant to the system and replace the capacitor. He was finished in a little over an hour. After he took my card for payment I asked him what he had done for the money I was paying him. He said he added coolant(how much?) and installed the capacitor and he had cleaned the coils. After he left I partially removed the AC housing and saw that he had only cleaned one of the four sides. I have the photos. I called to complain to the manager and instead my call was returned by the service guy. He returned the next day and did the job properly. I asked him why I had to purchase a package instead of being provided an estimate and he told me that nobody does that anymore, it was old school. Not true, it says they give free estimates on their website. The man had looked me in the eye and lied to me twice. I'm a senior citizen and I should have known better so shame on me, but I will never do business with American Air again and neither should you. Like everybody else in this world I just want to get what I pay for. What started as an AC tune up, basically cleaning and seeing if any repairs were necessary turned into $874, $99 for the check up, $775 for the service package.
