Tom did the replumb for our house. He provided a replubm solution for our house which was built in 1989. His solution minimized any walls being torn down like other estimates we had for the replumb. I would highly recommend Tom and ARS Rescue rooter for your plumbling needs. (See More)

5 starI needed a plumber and ARS was recommended to me. A broken shower valve was keeping us from having running water, but Tom was able to stop the leak and get the water back on. He called early the next morning to say that he found the part I needed and was willing to come right away to fix it. He is polite, professional and skilled, and I'm very happy with the service. First I used the Internet to set up this appointment and never heard from anyone...once I called the local office, I got excellent service. I live on property with a well. All of a sudden, no water. Panic sets in. So I called ARS and they had someone out to me within the hour (no mean feat, since I live out in the sticks). Tom Davis was the Tech for ARS. Within minutes, he diagnosed the problem and gave me options. He had to get a part from in-town, but was back in a jiffy, and I was up and running (read "flushing") right away. Tom was efficient, professional, courteous, and easy to chat with. I want you to know how fortunate you are to have Tom Davis representing you. From the mid-1970's when you provided service to my office and lab as Atlas, through the past 23 years when you serviced my home as ARS Rescue Rooter of Charleston, all of your personnel have been knowledgeable and professional. Tom Davis is exceptional. It may be that I've recently seen a lot of his work during two service calls, and had more opportunity to see how you operate in detail, but he is impressive. We suspected a leak in our water service line. he inspected the line and discussed our options in detail and in writing He patiently answered our questions and allowed us time to consider. I was concerned about the diameter of the line and pressure drop over its 435 foot length. He did calculations to confirm sufficiency, and explained that because the proposed 1 inch diameter PEX line would not have sharp bends like the existing 1 1/4 inch PVC line. there would be less friction loss and water pressure would be the same or better. He finished the line replacement in one day, being very careful to avoid unnecessary damage to lawn, walkways and driveway, even though everything was very wet from heavy rain.
Four days later we woke to find we had no hot water. Mr. Davis responded again, evaluated the situation, explained that it appeared that a power surge during a recent thunderstorm had damaged the circuit board controlling the water heater, presented options for repair or replacement, listened carefully to our questions, answered us knowledgeably and patiently, and proceeded to pick up and install a new water heater as we requested.

Tom Davis was the ARS technician that helped us. We had a major sewer backup and Tom was professional, courteous, and extremely knowledgeable. Tom corrected our issues in a very timely manner, but at no time cut corners or sacrificed quality to get it done quickly. The most important part of the entire experience for me is that I have absolute peace of mind knowing that the plumbing in my house is now to code and without defect. If I ever need plumbing services again I will be calling and requesting Tom. When you find someone that is trustworthy and know that he will correctly fix the problem the first time, it is a very rare thing. I apologize for not delivering the first review successfully. It was probably better because it was fresher in my mind, but the message is the same. Tom Davis was very professional, but also personable and interested in my particular situation. He took time to offer several options, explaining the details and answering my questions. He seemed like the kind of service person you can trust, which is so valuable in customer service and satisfaction. I appreciated that he left me with all the information I needed, and no feeling of pressure to make a sale. I knew right then and there what I wanted to do, but I am still trying to work things out financially. We were having some trouble with our hot water heater and
your firm was recommended by a friend. We called and left a message and Tom Davis called a couple of hours later and advised that he could come by right then. He came by, checked the 2 elements and 2 thermostats which had all been replaced in March by another firm and advised that they checked out OK. He also pulled the anode rod, showed us that it was very corroded, and that it should be replaced. He said that this would also extend the life of the water heater. We said OK, he replaced the anode rod, wrote up an invoice explaining all that he had done, and gave us a senior discount. We were totally pleased with his service and will be calling on ARS for our plumbing needs in the future and recommending you to others!
