I could not be happier with my choice to have SchagrinGAS install my new heating and air condition systems. Their prices were competitive but the quality of there workmanship is what sets them apart from other companies that I have done business with. I actually enjoyed their employees while in my home. Schagrin employees are well trained on how to conduct themselves and their product training is outstanding. The final product has the appearance and performance of a professional Job. This was a replacement HVAC install. Schagrin had converted my house to propane in July, 2003 and installed new HVAC at that time. They told me then it was one of the most difficult installs they had ever done (the furnace is horizontal up in the attic with very little room to move around). Fast forward to August of 2017 when my regularly serviced AC decided it was tired. Travis, the technician, told me the life expectancy for HVAC is around 15 years and asked if I had noticed my electric/propane bills going up - and yes I had, but never put 2 and 2 together. Travis had Mike Shallcross come out to assess my needs and give me a quote. Mike pulled my file from the previous install and one of the guys told him he remembered that install - right down to them needing to order a horizontal furnace! September 14 & 15 were the install days and the guys had been prepped that this would be a difficult install. The house did not disappoint and that's with me having enlarged the opening to the attic and installing pull down stairs in 2015! Needless to say, they did an excellent job! Schagrin isn't the cheapest out there, but their attention to detail, quality of work and service after the sale is second to none. I highly recommend them, in fact when my youngest daughter bought her first house in 2016 and wanted to convert the house to propane, I recommended Schagrin to her and she has been a happy customer ever since. We both have Lennox HVAC. Another big plus - if you are on the budget plan, they are terrific at gauging when you need your tank filled - we have never run out of propane. I have neighbors that are with other propane providers and haven't been so lucky. So, bottom line is you get what you pay for. Schagrin is a quality outfit, whether it's an install, servicing or propane delivery. They are a local family owned business that takes pride in everything they do. How refreshing is that?!

Mike Shallcross was an excellent representative for Schagrin. He was on time, thorough in his analysis of our HVAC needs. He was prompt in his proposal submission and answered my subsequent questions quickly and thoroughly. He offered several alternatives and worked us through them to determine what was best for us without over selling. Our installers Gianni and Zach were very efficient and extremely neat and clean during the installation. Everything was completed on time and as promised. New HVAC (only the A/C is in use) performs very well. I am pleased with all aspects of Schagrin and Lennox and would highly recommend them to others.

We recently replaced both our upstairs and downstairs furnace and air conditioning units. We had an excellent experience from start to finish. Michael Shallcross came out to our house, inspected our existing units, and then did a very thorough job of explaining options to us. He listened carefully to our needs and came up with three potential solutions. He also went over with us exactly how the new installation would proceed. Within a couple of days we received price quotes for the three potential solutions, made a decision, and then talked it over with Michael. All of the paperwork was taken care of promptly. The installation occurred on schedule. The two technicians who did the installation were very polite, explained in detail what they would be doing each day, finished on time, and did a great job cleaning up. At the end of each day both of the air conditioning units were left operational, which was important since it was very hot out. I would definitely recommend Schagrin Gas to anyone considering installing our replacing their heating and/or cooling systems.

Installation was performed over 2 days as we were told. Work area was clean. Rebates from Lennox and state of Delaware were applied for by Schagrin as promised. Equipment was registered with Lennox by Schagrin as promised. Mike was quick with responses and proposals. While I appreciate the Military Discount, it was rather paltry, something like 1.75%. I would recommend them to others and use them again in the future.

The level of service I received was outstanding. The estimator was on time, well spoken, knowledgeable and very thorough with every detail of the job. The installers were great guys, super nice, kept me well informed as the job moved forward. I was very comfortable leaving them in my residence. They showed up on time everyday and always looked and acted professionally. A supervisor even stopped to check on the quality of work. I would highly recommend this company to everyone.

A week ago Schagrin installed a Lennox dual fuel unit into our home. From the first encounter we had with the company we could not be more pleased. Prior to our needing a new system our service contract has been the way to go. Jamar was always courteous and gave us heads up in the fall that we would be needing a new system.The installers mainly Deon saw that our unit and understanding of the new thermostat was to our satisfaction. A follow-up call from Suzanne in the the office and Marc, the sales person also was done to see if we were satisfied with the overall job. We review this company as a job well done!!
