Thank you John Moore for asking me to review because I wasn't going to! Daye from customer service was great, Sky, the technician arrived quickly and was friendly. The prices are absolutely, unequivocally outrageous. $250/lb of freon, $399.99 for a capacitor, $7000 for a compressor, $11,000-$15,000 for a 3.5 ton unit. Save yourself some time and money and call someone else. I used a local company and got my freon recharged, it needed less than what John Moore told me I needed it was 1/2 the price.

First let me say, the technician and the install crew were super professional and polite. I have no issues with the employees who performed the work. However, I do take issue with the way I was charged. Initially the technician came out and said the unit was low on Freon. This unit is a fairly new unit that was installed by John Moore. The technician said it is possible the initial install team did not put enough refrigerant in. I was charged approximately $500.00 for something that should have possibly been done the right time. The refrigerant did not fix the issue and the same technician came back out. Now I am told my condenser coil is bad and needs replaced. I am guessing this was what was probably wrong to begin with. Two days later the install team arrives and has apparently fixed the issue. I had to pay for refrigerant again that should of probably not been put in to begin with. So another 2300.00 and my unit is fixed. I forgot to mention this unit is under warranty and John Moore is the only company that has touched it. The employees have been great but the customer service of John Moore is lacking in my opinion.

My air conditioning unit was leaking in between the bathroom and master bedroom walls. The carpet & padding in the bedroom was soaked. I called John Moore, and they came out right away. All the service men have been courteous, professional & informative, especially Willie G.. They have explained every step of the cleanup and repair process. This was the first major problem that I had to deal with as a homeowner, but John Moore and my insurance company, Amica, have been fantastic at every step.

I enjoy working for John Moore mostly because is a family-oriented company. We will go above and beyond to keep our customers happy and calling us back as their trusted service company. When I'm not working, I like to go fishing, biking, play soccer and baseball, and spend time with my family.

Had John Moore come out and service my 20yr old a/c unit, Jaime Centeno was the tech I explained my problem which I needed coolant, he explained my options and proceeded on fixing it. He let me know about the coolant not being available in a few years and I should think about replacing the unit, which I was aware of I was, Jaime never tried to pressure me into anything I didn't want done and did a great job.

This review pertains only to a consultation service call. I have not yet engaged JM to do any work and have not compared their bid with any competitors. But I can compliment the process thus far. The phone agent who set up the appointment was polite and clear, and the service tech called me about 45 minutes prior to arrival to confirm. Jaime C. was very professional and friendly. While inside my house he was considerate and made sure to wear protection on his shoes and to turn off lights and close doors behind him. He was very clear in his explanation of my A/C system condition / needs and the various options for servicing or replacing. As this is potentially an expensive project, I will solicit competitive bids but if JM's price is reasonable there is a good chance I will use them.

I have used John Moore Services in Houston on two occasions over the past year. Last year in fall of 2016 to install an additional new a/c supply duct and a new return duct for an area of the house that the builder did not supply air properly. Now, on April 24, 2017, I needed a repair service which required diagnosis and ultimately replacement of the inside a/c circulating air blower motor which was done under warranty. On both occasions, I received professional, courteous, and quality service in a timely manner which I truly appreciate and is not commonly found in today's service world.
