These guys DID NOT charge a fee to diagnose the problem with my HVAC system. Turns out a button my housekeeper flipped shut A/C down. Very professional service, technician put covers on his boots entering the house and found the problem in about 15 minutes. The bill for fixing this was NOTHING! My experience with this company from beginning to end was on point. I will definitely use JM again if I need any of their services

This is the second hot water heater I have had installed by John Moore. They continue to do good work and are careful handling removal of old water heater. Two things that the installers should have done but didn’t: 1. After job was finished I should have been taken up to the attic to see the installation, how to use the new pilot light function, temperature adjustment and shut off valve operation. This should be a SOP. 2. After installers were finished the attic lights were left on and door to attic was left open expelling hot air into air conditioned space.

When my house felt warm the day before a party, I was very pleased that John Moore could send an A/C Technician on short notice. (It was interesting to me that the telephone appointment setter told me about the financing that was available, as well as pest control, roofing, etc.) I told her that I just wanted the $69- checkup and I presumed that I needed refrigerant to be added. Two technicians arrived and both were courteous and professional. They went into the attic and also checked my A/C unit outside. Afterwards, Alex showed me photos he had taken with his tablet of my rusted coils (where they thought I had a leak) and a part outside that needed work. Then Jaime proceeded to present my options. The first was $135/month for a whole new system. I had to ask 'What is the total price?' It was over $10K. (My house is 1800 sq. ft.) This was way out-of-bounds for the service I originally requested. Jaime/Alex did not tell me why I needed a new system. They had just shown me that my coils were rusted and that I had a leak. I expressed my surprise, and then they told me about the financing that was available. As if I would say, 'Yeah, give me a new system!' with only that much documentation and without consulting with my husband. At this point, Alex told Jaime to show me the next option. This was a $5k option that was just replacing the coil but not the condenser. Again, if I needed a new system, why was this an option? I felt that the guys were not explaining WHY I needed these options. They were just trying to collect as much money as I was willing to hand over at the end of a long day. I am a smart consumer and I knew that I did not have a $10k-problem or a $5k-problem. Last year, I had this A/C service, the guy (f*** ******* ******** inspected it and added refrigerant for $175. I had to ask, 'What about just the $69-checkup add refrigerant? (like I originally requested when I called)?' The guys presented $299 for the first 2 pounds, then $70 for each additional pound. the inspection $69, for at total of $******* I really needed this done, to cool my house down for my party the next day, so I paid it. The guys were nice, but I really think this company has incentives for employees to sell as much as possible, regardless for what the customer really needs. I called them because I see their ads all the time and I was desperate. In the future, I will probably not call them again.

The person who came out to give me the estimate (forgot his name, but I saw him in John Moore commercials) did a great job inspecting everything. Was a bit more that I realize it would cost, but it was worth every penny. The guy who came out to replace my breaker box informed me I was just in time for the replacement. My house could have caught on fire . I was very pleased with everything everyone did for me.
