Tom Ray from The Gas Connection just serviced our 2005 Montego indoor fireplace. He was super knowledgable, made it work better, stopped the combustion issues we were having. He offered lots of tips to make it look better, from painting it -- what paint to use etc. and replacing the glass. There were no questions he couldn't answer. Justin Ponsor did a great job. He developed a good plan for touting the new gas lines to our two heavy masonry fireplaces, involving difficult angled drilling through over 3 feet of solid masonry. Doug L serviced our gas fireplace today. He replaced the fan, rheostat and and on/off switch. He arrived on time, took off his shoes at the door, had all the equipment he needed, including his mask, and protected the work area with a heavy tarp. He cleaned the grate, artificial logs and coals, and the window, sifting out the moths with delicacy. He thoroughly cleaned the functioning equipment, observed safety rules for both gas flow and electric power. He answered all. our questions, and even tolerated our dog. Doug has helped keep our gas fireplace running smoothly by rewiring our pilot light to work on a remote switch. It is so easy now, & always turns on & off by just pushing a button! He is careful in our home, took great COVID precautions & was very neat. He cleaned the pebbles in our fireplace, brushed the inside walls of the fireplace & was quick, yet friendly. I just had John Molet and I think it was Miguel, out to install a gas line from the main meter through my attic across the entire length of the house and to my wood burning fireplace to convert it to a gas log set. They were so courteous and answered all my questions. They worked diligently and efficiently and I was SO impressed with the professionalism they showed and that their work showed. It was a big job with tight spaces in my low pitched roof attic, and the fireplace was a double re-enforced steel firebox.
I will also add that I have very light colored cream carpet and they took appropriate precautions to not make a mess at all!!
