Today, Tom R. performed maintenance on our gas fireplace. He was everything you hope to have with a service call but seldom get.
• He was careful and respectful of our property,
• He did an excellent job in cleaning, servicing, and testing the fireplace
• He instructed us on the proper use and maintenance of our fireplace. Turns out, I was doing many things wrong.

We had a minimal gas leak in our basement and called The Gas Connection to repair. The professionalism of this company was extraordinary, from beginning to end.*************************** was the service technician that came to our home. He was very courteous to give us a call before the appointment time to let us know he was on his way. This man is exceptional. Discovered a gas leak last year -- spoke with Greg on the phone, who was quick and patient, and helped me by instructing me how to turn the main gas line off at my place. They sent Eugene out, who was insanely efficient and thorough in finding the leak and getting me fixed up. When they missed a spot in my gas fireplace, they came back out and made it right - continuation of their hourly rate. Again, Eugene was straight to work -- no bullshi* and super fast. IOne could not ask for a better Field service team than Aaron and Elijah. on time , explained step by step the procedure, covered everything that might get wood soot from the old wood burning masonry firebox, foot coverings, tarps, vacuumed as they installed and left my house cleaner than before their visit. There was no clean-up for me to finish at all. The guys had given me an approximate time of completion and were within 7 minutes of that time. And on top of all their professionalism Aaron had some very humorous stories which he shared. Don't fear using the Gas Connection or their installers/ field staff. Theses guys could and should give lessons in customer service. Could not be more impressed. Most certainly recommend and use again if gas work is needed on my home. Our gas insert is very old and did not work at all last Winter. We called The Gas Connection due to referral from a plumber who had been at our home. We called and talked with a very helpful lady and Tom was scheduled to come to our home. Tom arrived on time and went right to work. We were sure it would be hopeless and we would need a new insert. Tom went to work and today our insert works perfectly. We needed a new remote controller which Tom has with him, the logs are set in perfectly, the window never shinned so much and we have the heat we need to keep us warm this Winter! We are thrilled we have an insert with a long life span. Tom is setting us up so we can be notified every couple of years for a service which we will certainly do! And I want to add when I called the office to get the information on how to comment on Tom's great work I spoke with Amy, what a perfect lady to be on the other end of the phone, kind, helpful and so friendly! We just purchased a home and both fireplaces showed up with problems in our inspection report. Tom arrived on time and is incredibly cordial, helpful, and knowledgeable. We couldn’t be happier knowing our fireplaces are fully serviced and functional and will be ready for cold fall and winter nights. Eugene did a wonderful job installing our new gas line. Eugene took the time to install the line asthetically prudent to our house. Eugene even worked late to ensure the line was installed and tested correctly. He didn't rush, even as evening rolled in.
Eugene was courteous and removed his shoes when he came into our house to check pilot lights. Eugene doubled checked everything to make sure it was all working correctly.

After being totally disappointed with Home Depots plumber my neighbor recommend I call The Gas Connection. My sales person Lucas came out the next day, explained the whole process & gave me a quote the next day. Pricing was very competitive and the quote laid out exactly what was included. The next week I had Justin & Joe arrive at the house to expertly & professionally install our new gas line to our new gas cooktop. Both Joe & Justin explained what needed to happen in layman's terms to it was easily understood.
I have to say that with a full kitchen remodel, The Gas Connection has been the highlight of the entire process. My husband and I do not mess with or attempt to solve gas or electrical issues, which means we often turn to the experts and Doug L. Really is an expert! Doug helped us with our two fireplaces and installing our grill conversion kit after replacing our exterior gas line that was covered in duct tape. Every time Doug comes he shares what he did, why he did it, and shows me how it is working. He is fast, efficient, and I couldn't recommend working with Doug enough! He fixed our pilot light sporadic lighting issue, noting that it may require an upgraded part at some point, but no need to replace until absolutely necessary. John and Leon worked through the entire day to install gas lines to two fireplaces, a cooktop and a dryer with the main feed extending almost the length of the house, nicely tucked mostly between floor joists. The connections were perfectly placed including a very long masonry bore. The installed hardware looks good, particularly the brass shutoff valves for the fireplaces, which were installed flush into a wood floor and a wall.
