Had a cleaning and repair of boiler. Service was timely and courteous with reminders about the appointment and calls ahead of arriving. The 2 men who where here were very helpful answering questions and letting me look over their shoulder and learn about my heating system.

Gil completed the annual heating inspection on my Back Bay condo. His expertise, reliability and professionalism is beyond compare. Gil installed the HVAC system one year ago and understands the intricacies of repairing and maintaining the system, not an easy feat in an 1886 brownstone.
Since the system was installed I've not had to use space heaters to keep warm or portable AC units to keep cool.
I also subscribe to their annual service plan to assure that if I have an emergency a technician will always be available.
Note: Pann service techs always use shoe covers when entering your home, a real plus!

peter k was exceptionally thorough in inspecting all aspects of our steam boiler, and we went ahead with his $1500 of preventative maintenance recommendations to replace corroded parts that were 10-15 years old. we've used Pann for fall heating system checkups for 10+ years, and have been very happy. last fall, peter single-handled created a clean out for our makeup air vent, which really wasn't a 1 person job; but he mustered thru. and as well, Pann responded to an unexpected water heater leak that occupied most of a day in 2010. 10/06/16 |

I just had Pann Home Services install a Bradford White Corporation Hot Water Heater Tank for my 2nd floor apartment. Rich T did one of the most professional jobs with detailed explanations of the proceedings and a perfect installation service. I highly recommend this plumbing technician. The older Bradford White Corporation Hot Water Heater Tank gave way after 21 years of perfect service without a single service call. I ordered its replacement with a brand new Bradford White Water Heater Tank. Pann Home Services was professional and the dispatch team sent out Rich T and another technician the same day I called them. In fact, they were at the house within 1 1/2 hours of my phone call. I wrote a review yesterday for the overall company, but did want to recognize Rich T. He arrived at the house, and was friendly, patient, and explained the entire process to me. I have been doing business with Pann for many years. The technicians are always knowledgeable, professional and respectful. They are willing to deal with whatever additional problems might come up. Today **** found a bird's nest in the dryer hose and cleaned the whole thing out even though they were here to fix the bathtub. Although they are expensive , it's worth the extra money to be confident that they know what they're doing and will do a fine job. I appreciated finding my tub sparkling clean. My hot water tank broke and I called Pann Home Services. They were recommended by another contractor, so since I had no hot water - I called. I didn't know what else to do and am glad I called! I found the service to be professional, and first rate. Rich was the technician that was assigned to the job. He first examined and identified the issue, called the supply company where the tank was purchased from and found it still was on warranty. He switched it out, showed me how to best maintain the tank and cleaned up the area - as if he had never been there. Would I recommend them to others - absolutely. I plan to have them on speed dial. Rich spent 15 mins working on the faucet . He came and told us it was beyond repair and charged us $303! I was beyond belief that he would charge us for a repair that he didn't do. I told him I felt ripped off so he took off $50. He then said it would cost us another almost $500 for him to come back and install a new faucet that we would provide. He implied that he "might" give us a credit from the $253 towards this work. I called around to friends and spoke to a plumber at Monique's . Everyone I spoke to was amazed at the charge. I called a supervisor who we had worked with before at Pann. I then found out that he no longer worked for Penn but he said he would contact them and ask them to call me. So far no one has called. Pann Home Services has been my "go to, one-stop shop" company for several years. They have replaced a water heater and heat/ac system. Recently, the ac needed service. I called and spoke to ********, who was professional, courteous, and listened. She promptly made an appointment for the same day. ******* ***, **** was on-time, quickly assessed the problem, and fixed the ac. He knew just what to do! He circled back with me explaining what the actual problem was and what he did to fix it. Great communication, as well. *** was personable, well prepared, and very knowledgeable. I am a college student who was redoing a kitchen with a tight budget. I tried to talk to several plumbing services, but just getting quotes from them were a hassel. The first time I called Pann Home Services, they immediately set me up with a consultation on-site, as well as had me talk to a service technician about pricing immediately. When I finally met their technician (Rich T. was my man), he was exceedingly nice, very efficient, and very helpful. I am personally interested in learning about plumbing, and he helped show me some beginners tips/suggestions such that I can try to do some basic maintenance work in the future. He is an awesome person, and an equally as talented service pro.

I was completely satisfied with the service I received and surprised that my heat pump is running so well because it's about 10 years old.
I even signed up for the service plan that they offer that's very reasonably priced.

I got a follow up with Pete K. & Josh and my heat pump had to have a couple of pounds of Freon added and the drain line was also clogged. The unit is running great now even though it's pretty old. My gas stove was sitting about 6 inches away from the wall because of a pipe coming out out the floor. Rich moved this pipe and now I don't have this big gap behind my stove anymore. Other companies wanted to go straight to breaking up the stone foundation to get at the pipe. Rich studied the situation and decided to try going at it from the top first. He learned that this would work and that going through the foundation in the basement would not have worked because of the way the pipes were arranged. He got the job done. He seemed very competent and trust worthy. (He also noticed that the sealant around my exhaust pipe from the water heater needed repair and he did it without charging extra for it.)
I would hire him again.

I have nothing but high praise for Tim B. And Pann's work in helping us install leak sensors on our water heaters. Two other recommended companies we contacted had no experience doing this kind of work. Tim did the task from bid to completion in three business days. Pann was very easy to work with in terms of scheduling the initial appointment, arranging to have the work done by a contractor with experience in the work we needed, and confirming the arrangements. Last year I had another company clean my gas fireplace. After they left, it began to make an odd sound. I called them back and was told they no longer serviced my area. Needless to say, I was looking for another company!
I called Pann and was greeted by a friendly and pleasant person. We set up an appointment with a four hour window. The night before the call, they called back to confirm and shortened the window to 2 hours. Yeah!
Ryan arrived at my door - neat and friendly and immediately covered his shoes and set right to work. Within minutes he called me to take a look. The prior company had left a softball sized mound of dirt under the blower causing it to be unbalanced and make too much noise. Since the call didn't take long, they only charged me the service fee. That was a very pleasant surprise. Ryan quickly cleaned up (although he had put down a mat, so there wasn't a mess to begin with} and went on to his next appointment. I couldn't have had a better experience and I will use them again and recommend them to friends and family. Thank you!
