Phillip did a excellent job explaining my options and cost in a manner in which I could understand. He was not in any hurry and very knowledgeable. No pressure! I was ultimately happy with your service. Thank you. I will say when the technician (Mike E) came out, he asked the right questions and then asked "[So what would you like to accomplish?]". As a homeowner with a backed up sewer pipe, I thought this was obvious. Very happy with what Mike ended up doing. After taking cold showers for two days, we contacted Lake Cook. The office staff was friendly professional and knowledgeable. Amy set up an appointment with my husband and Kim kept in contact with us through out the day to let us know where Nick was and if he was running behind. When Nick arrived, he was so nice and pleasant. He was able to figure out what the problem was and gave us different options to fix everything. He also walked through my house and gave me pointers and showed us a few different things. We will definitely be calling them with any future plumbing needs!!!! 05/12/15 |

From the very moment Kim answered the phone at their office, to when we shook Mark's hand for a job well done, we could not have been more satisfied. We now have a plumber we can trust to do the job right, the first time around. Talk about full disclosure. Wow! You know where, what, how much and why, BEFORE the job gets started. When the job is finished, you have no inclination that anyone was in your home, except you no longer have a plumbing issue. Mark is a true professional. He's interactive. friendly with his customers. After examining the problem with my bathroom tank, Glen review it with me and his explanation was easy to understand. He provided the cost differential between repair and replacement and I felt confident in my choice which was opting for a new tank. Glen was prepared to show me both product and brand choices right in my home. He went and picked up a new tank, returned and installed it quickly. Then before leaving he offered to provide me with tags/ instructions for the shut off valves in my home. No more guessing should there be an emergency. Phil was terrific, and Kim was equally efficient on the phone. She moved our appointment time to the morning, and it's a good thing, because the install of the water heater, valves, sump pump, and backup battery required at least 7 hours. Phil was terrific! He spent at least 7 hours at our home (including a couple of trips through the weather to round up the correct parts) installing a gas water heater, sump pump and battery backup. He spotted 3 outdated valves and replaced those. To Phil's credit, he did not "hard sell" any new item, but took the time to explain the advantages of the replacements. Phil also took the time to walk the customer through the drain-down procedures on the heater, and the operation of the backup system. Even left his cell number in case of future issues. Glynn was very professional and friendly when he arrived at my home to repair a frozen pipe in my ceiling. He was also very professional and explained what we thought was a simple repair, that actually turned out to be an additional 6 repairs, for other pipes that we didn't know about. He was also very understanding when we had to stop the repairs, due to cost and did not try and talk me into completing the repair service, when it was just too much to handle at the time. I would definitely recommend Lake Cook Plumbing Service to friends and family members without hesitation. I would also call Lake Cook Plumbing Service to do any other plumbing repairs I may have in the future. Glynn especially was very friendly and professional and he would be the one I would request to come to my home and repair whatever plumbing problems I have.
Thank you Lake Cook Plumbing and Glynn L for making a stressful situation a little bit better to deal with.

We have a service agreement with Lake Cook Plumbing and they came out on Jan. 16 to do the annual inspection. As part of the inspection, one of our toilets was loose and needed to be reseated. The toilet was done on Jan. 21. The technician for both visits, Mike E, was very good. He arrived when they said he would and was very thorough. The toilet was reset and is now working properly. We have had Lake Cook Plumbing at our house before to install a new sump pump and backup system as well as to unclog pipes. I needed work done in my kitchen and bathroom tub. It took two trips because of parts availability (from the manufacturer and plumbing supply store) but everything was fixed and now working well. Phillip was very good about communicating with me, my building and the store. I'm glad it's all over and happy with the outcome. Terrible. Told me she booked the appointment. I took the day off to be there. After the 2 hour window had passed I called. Appointment was never set up. Spoke with someone who apologized and said I'd be next. Then actually tries to upsell me a larger heater after telling me it could be another 45 minutes to 2 hours. 2hours goes by nothing. I called back. Office was closed and spoke with answering service. They said someone would call in 5 to 10 minutes. 45 minutes later, plumber actually calls and says no one told him he had another appointment. He said he could be there in another hour and a half. Through all of this I could not even get an estimate. Very poor way to do business. There's and issue and the office goes home. Doesn't even call before closing to give me an ETA of when I could expect the guy. Replacement plumber gave me a price over the phone and actually showed up when promised. This companies plumbers may be great, but I'll warn everyone I know to stay away. The office just doesn't care about business. I'd give a zero but it won't let me. Margarita G. 01/14/15 |

Recently called Lake Cook Plumbing because of a problem at my mother in laws house in Wildwood, Ill. I was told at the time a technician would be at the house between 2-4 P.M. I got a call a few minutes after the appt was made and was told the tech would be there within a half an hour. Glynn arrived before 1P.M. From the time he knocked on the door he very courteous, and professional. I explained the problem to him, and he jumped right in. He found the problem, told me what had to be done. We agreed on the price, and he got to work. He worked without taking a break.
Every step of the way he told me what, and why he was doing what he did. It is nice, in these days of shoddy workmanship and lousy work ethic to have a person of Glynn's professionalism working for your company. When I walked outside to investigate, I discovered 3 feet of water at the base and the door was holding most of it back. I immediately looked on line and found Lake Cook Plumbing and they had 24 hour service. After leaving a message with the service I received a call 3 min later and I explained my problem. The first reaction from this company was “no problem…we will take care of you”.
Working in the hotel industry (Hilton) I greatly appreciate great service.
In about another 2 min, a resolution was offered and a man was sent to my home. While I was waiting, I went to the basement entrance and started bailing water. At 11:00 PM Mike E. Arrived and was very courteous and friendly. Mike took great care in making sure there was no dirt snow or salt tracked in by him. Mike assed the problem, presented me with options and pricing. The drain in the basement entrance had frozen solid. A rod job later the drain was fixed. No more water in my basement!
I called Lake Cook Plumbing 2 more times since then and got the same wonderful service and just by chance I got Mike both times. I have asked Lake Cook to make Mike E. our preferred technician.
Lake Cook Plumbing is very professional and service orientated.
I will use their services again. and recommend them to anybody.

We live in a high-rise in Lincoln Park. Our building's maintenance staff couldn't unclog a drain that had backed up in bathroom sink. They had to call in the pros at Lake Cook Plumbing. Phillip was the technician that came out to troubleshoot. He was thorough and knowledgeable. He explained everything to us very patiently and professionally as to his diagnosis of the problem, what might have caused it, and what he needed to do to solve it. Did an all-around great job.
