Mike B came out, crawled through my incredibly nasty crawl space, identified the issue (burst pipe), and then was able to repair it quickly. He confirmed it was no longer leaking and then took the extra time to turn on my water heater, which was what we originally thought the problem was, and made sure it fired up before he left. The whole time he was extremely friendly and for the amount of work that was done, was very reasonable cost. I've had Mike do repairs before and it was the same great work. Mike is not only a fantastic plumber, but is friendly, courteous, and has an amazing work ethic. If there were more stars to give, I'd give them to him. Mike B. 02/14/18 |

I like your service people for there knowledge and ability to communicate well. The only thing I need is a battery wing nut that was supposed to be mailed to me. 2/12/2018: Had scheduled a service call, with Jeremy, for an estimate on replacing a water heater. Due to the snow storm on Friday 2/9, Jeremy called and said he was down 2 techs and wanted to reschedule my appt to Monday 2/12 between 8:00-8:30am. At 8:45 i called and spoke w/ Jeremy to ask when the tech would arrive. To my surprise he said it was going to be another 1-1 1/2 hours before someone would arrive as they were on an emergency call. I asked why nobody bothered to call me and let me know they were going to be late and was told they wanted to finish the emergency call they started yesterday. It should have been common courtesy to call me ahead of time to let me know the tech would be late as I know emergencies happen. But instead I had to call and find out the status of my appt. Hopefully this emergency call was worth more than the $1600 estimate, since the $49 service fee probably would have locked me into choosing Lake Cook Plumbing for the repair. We have had several instances where we needed a plumber, including a broken sump pump(flooded basement) and a washing machine overflowing and pumping water an inch deep in the immediate area. Needless to say, when you need a plumber, this is the first place we call. Mike came out this last incident and was able to diagnose a washing machine issue immediately. Jackie was the first person I encountered over the telephone representing the company. I'm not pleased overall with LakeCook Plumbing. The first time I scheduled you, you were a no-show because I got bumped for more pressing work. I decided to give you a 2nd chance, you showed up on time and the work was completed quickly (45min) but I was shocked with a $400+ bill for 45 minutes of work. The plumber that was at my house was unable to explain the bill, the invoice only had a single line item. So I called the office to have some explanation of the bill and the woman that answered said she was unable to explain the bill and would have someone call me. That call never came. It has been 7 days. I will not be recommending LakeCook Plumbing nor using you again. In fact I will be doing the opposite. The work done was simply replacing a cartridge in my shower 01/19/18 |

Lake Cook Plumbing went above and beyond in getting me taken care off. She worked with me to get a service man over as soon as possible. After setting me up wit a 12-2pm window appt. she called me back around 9:30am to tell me she could have someone at my house within 20 minutes. Very much appreciated! I really thought this company was a great company until after me following up dozens of times with them who wouldn't even come out until the mobile home was insulated properly. So while being put off by another company for days all the while my sons are staying at a friend house and our water is shut off the other company told me they couldn't do it. Now it is a day before Christmas Eve and I am scrambling to find someone to insulate which I thought was done when we bought the place-I did find a really nice company. They came out right away dried the underneath and treated it and insulated it. So all this time we are still without water and I talk to Brian who was supposed to fix broken pipes and leaks and drawing up a plan. Come to find out he hadn't even started and said they wouldn't be started until Tuesday after Christmas, we had already been without water which causes many problems for 5 days and now have to wait another 5. What good company treats their customers with an emergency which they said they did, but apparently not. So I called the company who did the insulation and they came out right away fixed everything and we were able to have Christmas! Then Lake Cook knew about another problem and never fixed it so we had another problem causing water all over out washing machine room. Again the new co. came right away and fixed it for way way less. Lake Cook and Chicago Fire and Water were going to charge far more causing me to have to finance. With the new co. I was able to pay cash. Chicago Fire and Water Restoration did send me a check for over 500.00 probably because they felt so guilty about putting me off until the day before Christmas Eve which was nice and did help.

It's never pleasant to have plumbing problems, but in the winter it is the worst! The service technician was prompt, courteous and knowledgeable. Our problem was resolved efficiently and competently although he had to spend time out in the cold to free the blockage in the septic line. We are very pleased with the results. 12/26/17 |
