Gene Burch Plumbing has been extremely helpful in addressing several leaks in my aging Radiant Heat system. Freddie sand Alex have been out twice in the past two weeks to fix and pressure test two leaks in the system. They have been very responsive in meeting my schedule needs, efficiently locating and fixing the broken radiant tubing , pressure testing the system and assuring that everything possible has been done to correct the leak issues. With high insurance deductibles, getting g it right the first time before closing out a claim is essential. I also appreciate them going above and beyond with the most recent leak as it turned out to be further down the pipe than the hardwood flooring demo allowed access to. Freddie has the cutting tools in his truck and took on additional flooring demo when my hardwood floor contractor was unavailable. They stayed far longer than anticipated until the leak was located, repaired and tested. Gene Burch Plumbing has been my "go to" plumber for 20 years at two different homes. This week they replaced the boiler to the radiant heating system and the adjunct new copper piping. Gary Gordon and the rest of the team at Gene Burch Plumbing are terrific. They have been very responsive in helping me efficiently identify, locate and repair a leak in my radiant heat system that was costing hundreds of dollars a month in lost water. Gary recommended an excellent leak detection guy and clearly laid out the process to locate and execute the repair. So far, everything has gone to plan. I appreciate that the entire Gene Burch team are not trying to "sell me" on things I don't need. I did request evaluation of my radiant heat boiler and hot water heater as they are both getting old and approaching their end of life. Gary has offered suggestions on alternative approaches that each come with their own benefits, but without pushing me in one direction or another. I appreciate that. Very good experience today with a furnace repair. It turned out that my thermostat needed replacing and Gary Gordon did a good job. He had to go into the attic to check the furnace itself and found it was working okay. I forgot to ask him to check the furnace/ac filter, and I'm sorry that he didn't offer. Otherwise, it all went well as he arrived on time, worked quickly and was amiable. The cost of the visit was more reasonable than what other companies in Novato are charging. Judy R.
