EPIC FAIL - I called to have my bathroom sink snaked. The tech came and ran a small amount of snake into the line. They had to come back the next day and fix the leak they caused under the sink. I then noticed that the sink was now draining onto my back patio from the clean out because they did not push the clog all the way into the main line. They were scheduled to come back, but Steve Ferris in his ability to see the problem over the phone decided that this was not the same problem. He refused to come back out and finish the work. I have another company on the way and when they complete the work that Dutton did not - I will will take the time and file a small claims action, with the hope that they do not show up in court so I can not only collect what I paid them, but collect the daily interest as well. Outstanding work for the full duration of the repipe. All of the men that I’ve met from Dutton Plumbing that have assisted Jake in completing my repipe have the following qualities; great skill sets/ knowledgeable/ professional/ thorough/ responsible/ patient/ good natured and all of those while maintaining a strong work ethic. Yes RANDY was very informative about the issue that happened with my home and keep me posted every step of the way and how things would be repaired and what was going to be removed and reassured me in order to reduce my stress. It was my first time using Dutton, my garbage disposal wasn’t working, said it needed to be replaced he told me if I bought from him the lowest price was $1000. & the highest $4000., I couldn’t believe my ears, I told him I’ll buy my disposal & how mush to just install, $453.00 again I couldn’t believe my ears, I ended up buying the same disposal which lasted me 15 years for $134.00 included the power cord, I call about 4 plumbers in Simi and all quoted $165. - $195.00, total cost $ 309.00, I think I need to report them to BBB. HE WAS WITH US FOR 5 DAYS (WE ACTUALLY MISS HIM) AND THE OTHER TECHS WERE GREAT TOO. STEPHEN S IS PROFESSIONAL, YET FRIENDLY, HARDEST/FASTEST WORKER I'VE EVER SEEN; EXPLAINS EVERYTHING HE DOES AND WHAT OTHERS ARE DOING, LEAVES THE PLACE IMMACULATE EACH DAY AND JUST HAS GREAT "ENERGY" AS A PERSON. We had a leak in the bathroom that caused wet spots under the rug a few feet away; we also were interested in a water filtration system and a new waterless heater. All of this took 5 days to complete and the techs never stopped working. STEPHEN S. was our main tech; we cannot say enough positive things about him. He is very knowledgeable, professional, friendly and respectful of other's property. I have never seen anyone work as steadily and quickly as STEPHEN S.; we had Larry, Tony, Cole and others here during the week, however, STEPHEN S., was the one in charge and he is excellent at what he does! Each day, everything was left spotless. His patience and direction with other techs is a great asset, also. Each Tech that was here deserve praise, as they all knew what the were doing. This is the second time that Dutton Plumbing has come to our rescue in an emergency. They are on time, caring, and efficient. After work done, we discovered a problem with our shower and today after many hours completing another job for us, Steve F went out of his way to stay until it was perfectly done and made me very, very happy. Steve F. arrived on time (early actually - I had requested earlier arrival if possible) and quickly appraised the situation (leaky shower handle from valve). Valve had to be replaced but removal of handle was very stubborn due to decades of hard water deposits. Steve persevered and job was done to my complete satisfaction. (See More)

I discovered a water leak in my Slab on Super Bowl Sunday. Steve from Dutton came out and turned off my water to avoid more issues. On Monday - 2 slab leaks were discovered; and I had my whole house re-plumbed and upgraded. Steve was my saving grace -he clearly outlined the process, expertly completed the work, and actively managed all the sub contractors. Steve F. was the technician and he was exceptional but I am not happy with the pricing. I thought it was way too much for what was done. I blame the company for that. I have the invoice in front of me and there was not a breakdown for labor, parts, time spent, or anything else! I will never use this company again. I do not find fault with Steve F. he was very courteous and left the area very clean. He showed me other options for other repairs but I will be searching for another company. I would not refer Dutton Plumbing to my worst enemy. I approved the work because it was an emergency. I wish I had waited and read all the reviews. (See More)

Not good. I asked for a water heater replacement under Mfg warranty, they offered me $1 water heater replacement under warranty with $2000 Labor cost. I asked them to give me water heater and I can do the installation myself, they put me on hold for two days and was told later, Water heater warranty expired because house ownership changed. If you have money you don't need or want, then this is the "COMPANY" for you! Kudos to them for a great front office manner and great PR efforts -- but I think it really is just part of their con. We needed a new johnny ring for one toilet. Requires four bolts be removed, the old ring removed, install a new ring and replace the toilet. Even at sixty years old and with a bad back I think I could handle the job in less than an hour! They wanted $441 for the job, after of course trying to sell us a new toilet for $1,400-$1,600. Real plumbers are coming to do the job later today for around $120. Apparently, with all the five star ratings these people get, there is a plethora of either very dumb or very rich people who love their service. (See More)
