Called to have my water heater replaced. The technician did a great job installing, however, left a mess for me to clean up in the garage. The total cost was $2,000 which I explained was very high. He stated that the products have gone up in price. The invoice I received has no breakdown for costs which got me thinking about what they charge for labor and parts. I googled the water heater model # and saw the same product at a plumbing supply store for $699. So even with the parts like new metal lines and fittings should have been around $800. So they charge $1200 in labor for 2 hours worth of work.......Rediculous. I will use another service next time.
The business does not allow a new post so I am adding to this one. Called to have a gas line added to install an outdoor kitchen. Was Quoted $8000 to have 140 foot gas line added that would cost less than $1000 in material and maybe one day of labor. Once again, this company over charges. Will NEVER use them again. Many months ago we were made aware of Cummings Plumbing Heating and Cooling by our daughter who had received terrific service when their water heater failed. Before we ever had need of their service we referred Cummings to our neighbor who had a water heater burst. Out of the 5 other companies she contacted Cummings was the only one that said they would respond same day. They showed up hours before scheduled time and had her new water heater installed and operating to her extreme satisfaction in very short order. When it came time for us to require their services we did not hesitate and called them right away. The office person I spoke with was friendly, concerned and very helpful. She asked precise and specific questions to determine the best course of action and was very clear about what we could expect including a very tight window for our scheduled service appointment. Our Service Tech Issac Cruz contacted me by phone to confirm and even showed up before scheduled appointment time. Issac was clean polite and presentable. He showed great concern and care as we moved through the house and listened intently while I explained our issues. After understanding what we needed he was very clear and concise with details and options for the repair. After receiving a detailed quote for toilet replacement, he was able to have a brand-new unit delivered and replaced the very same day! We through no fault of Issac or Cummings required a couple of follow up visits, the office and Issac took care of us right away in rapid and professional manner. Because of our fantastic service as well as our family and neighbors experience Cummings Plumbing Heating and Cooling have a customer for life! In Tucson it's not a matter of if you'll need their service, it's just a matter of when. We were having difficulty even getting a return call from our normal plumbers. We called Cummings and had an appointment within two hours of the phone call. The office staff could not have been friendlier. **** showed up and diagnosed our problem and had it fixed within the time frame allotted. We have been Cummings Plumbing Heating and Cooling customers for many years and always very satisfied with their work. This time around the work was extensive, re-piping the whole house. All the workers who came were very helpful, polite and efficient. One worker in particular, Brian Kelly, was here to patch up everything, dry walling, repair and cleaning that comes with it. He was here all by himself, except for two days. He was very patient with all our questions, knowledgeable, efficient, very friendly and most of all going above and beyond the work he had to do. After many years of choosing plumbers based primarily on price, I learned that it’s true that you get what you pay for when lots of things started going wrong. I called Cummings because they provide full service with plumbing, electrical and HVAC expertise. Joshua came out to review my problems, outline my many options and provide a free estimate on the costs of replacing the water softener and an ancient water heater. He patiently responded to all my questions, helped me weigh the pros and cons of each option and put no pressure on me whatsoever. He was kind and supportive. A week later he installed the Enviro water treatment system and found lots of little problems that he could easily fix while he was here for no extra charge. Joshua made sure I understood how the system works and double-checked everything before saying it was good to go. I believe Joshua really cares about his work and doing what’s best for his customers.
