I have had a Bluedot maintenance contract for over 30 years.
Yesterday I took off from work for a Bluedot scheduled heating system maintenance. The scheduled time was from 12pm to 4pm.
Around 2pm I called Bluedot to get an update on the status of my technician arrival time. I was assured that I was on schedule.
At 2:30pm Bluedot called and told me that the technician was held up at a job and that he would be late. I told the caller since I took the day off to have the maintenance done, I am willing to wait for Fernando (my preferred tech) as long as he is coming as I do not want to take another day off again. I was assured that he will come.
At 7pm I called Bluedot again on the status of my appointment, I was then told Fernando could not come and they could send a substitute technician (which I do not want.) I asked her why no one has the courtesy to call me. She told me they called at 6:15pm, this is totally untrue. I had my phone by my side all the time and I did not receive any call from Bluedot to inform me of it. Besides, if Bluedot did call, why is there no voicemail and record of a missed call?
Bluedot wasted my day. Now I had to take another day off to get the maintenance done.

an employee came to do my fall maintenance. I was not home but my son was. In December I had to go into the attic to get Christmas decorations. When I looked at the unit the small door that covers the filter was off, letting attic air directly into the unit. The door was propped up and jammed against the freon pipe to outside unit. I took the door tries to put in on but the screw pop-on was broken and 2 other screws were missing. When I moved the door off the freon pipe I then hear a hissing sound of Freon escaping. because the door had been jammed under it. Ok- so I had to have someone come back to fix the freon and door. The door could not be fixed, only taped on because he did not have the attacher screw and I got to pay $1,000 to weld the leak caused by the first guy leaving to door off and jamming it under the pipe. Oh, and by the way got to pay for the door THE FIRST GUY BROKE AND LEFT OFF. So up to $1,300. Now 2 weeks later another peson comes and brings my new door and guess what! It will not stay on because the first guy not only broke the latch but STRIPPED THE HOLE. So now, after buying a new door its still DUCT TAPED ON, which I could have kept the old one to duct tape it. Both of those guys said "Wow, this is really screwed up, I'm going to have the service manager call, this is really wrong". Well, a month later and................. NOTHING. Oh, not really, the have the guts to SEND ME A BILL for yearly maintenance SO THEY CAN COME BACK AND BREAK SOMETHING ELSE I"LL HAVE TO PAY FOR. So... before you call someone for service take Blue Dots number and LOSE IT!

Blue Dot Has asked me to leave a review on my latest service. The Company was very good at setting up the appointment. They called the night before to confirm and said they or the service person would call at least 15 minutes before they arrived. They did call and John was at my door at the given time. He was very polite and very pleasant , it didn't take him too long to do what he needed to do and was very helpful to me with adjusting the heat etc. All in all I can say -- I have only good things to say about Blue Dot an John. Our experience with Blue Dot starting with DJ was very professional. He answered all our questions and was very pleasant to work with. I had three appointments to address the same continuing issue with my HVAC system constantly running and what I felt was an inaccurate temp reading on the control panel. The first appoint went 3 hours past the 4 hour window. It was close to 9pm when the technician showed up. The second appoint was cancelled. After the 4 hour window was up, I called for a status and was told the technician had an unexpected emergency and my appointment was cancelled. I understand emergencies, but I was never notified. The third tech arrived within the appointment window but was unable to find a cause. 01/19/18 |

Showed up on time prepared for everything that was needed to complete my service with efficiency and a professional look. They were very friendly and informative, willing to explain each process to me and for that I am truly grateful. Both men clearly went above and beyond and it showed in there workmanship. The only break they both took was a rest room break and then stayed on task .

You state that will respond to our request 24/7 and that you would schedule for our convenience BUT you do not. You came installed a water heater that did not passed inspection and then came to fix it AND NOW WE have NO HOT WATER!! Brad was very good. Friendly and courteous as he seemed to do most of the outside AC system work. This is a minor point but as he was leaving, I asked what the exposed wires were near the AC unit.and he explained they are BGE's from the BGE box that switches unit off during peak usage. Blue dot not authorized to reconnect. It would have been helpful for him to explain prior to me seeing the exposed wires and asking. Brad M. 12/14/17 |

Our forced air HVAC system was installed by Ray, Terlu and Devonte. We performed a lot of work on our house recently but this group was the most professional, knowledgeable and thorough. There is simply nothing negative we can say about the installation process. It was flawless and Blue Dot would be wise to retain and reward these guys.
The reason for only three stars is the sales process. Glenn was our estimator and he sold us with his knowledge and helpfulness during the process. But;
-He overestimated BGE rebates in his proposal and had to increase our cost AFTER we signed the proposal.
-He did not communicate to the installation team that a new line set was requested, resulting in double work for the crew (which took it in stride to their credit)
-Glenn stated that this new unit will be able to maintain a preset humidity level in the house but that's simply not true.
-But most importantly, he sold me a 2 stage ac unit in his sales pitch, but wrote down a single stage unit on the proposal. I did not Google the model numbers on the proposal because I trusted Glenn, only to find out I was essentially lied to.
I can't make a big deal out of this since it's my fault for not checking the model numbers on the proposal without signing it, but it's enough to never use Blue Dot again.
In conclusion, as long as you double check the sales guys pitch for accuracy by doing your own research, we recommend Blue Dot to install your new equipment. Ray E. 12/12/17 |
