Tom replaced a utility tub and faucet and fixed two outdoor spigots. I appreciated Tom's expertise on all these repairs and the answers to general questions I had about hoses and why they always seem to leak. I asked his advice about an upcoming bathroom vanity project. He explained what the plumber would do and also the best sequence of tasks to make the project easiest. Tom replumbed our master bath from a single sink to a double sink as well as replumbing for a new tub. The latter requires a faucet to come up from the floor where as the old tub had the water coming from a mixer in the wall. Tom's work was incredibly good and he was quick. His energy and quick pace is inspiring. But also he explains what he is going to do and is one of the most pleasant and communicative people I have ever known. He took a stressful situation and made it a pleasure. I will ask for Tom every time. I can't say enough about him. He got it all done in one day and for a lot less than we expected. Tom H. 06/18/20 |

Tom just finished installing a new kitchen faucet for me. He did a wonderful job; explaining each action as he was doing it. He was very professional and personable. I felt complete confidence in the company I had chosen. Very glad I chose Armbrust. They service my condo association, so I went with them, but I think that was the first time I needed them in my own unit. He was also very careful about cleanliness in my home; along with completely cleaning up after he was finished. My kitchen is probably cleaner now than it was when he arrived. I had nothing but good things to say about Tom; until he was leaving; and I learned he was a Sox fan! Just kidding. We joked about my Cubs memorabilia on the wall. Alan ******* gave us immediate and excellent service. We had a clog in our kitchen sink drain on Friday evening. We called Armbrust at 8 pm, Alan returned our call immediately, said he was finishing a job and would arrive around 9 pm. He did arrive at 9 pm and had the job completely finished by 10 pm. We've had a great experience over the years. Recently, we had Alan Carlson install new sump pumps (a primary and battery backup). Scheduling with Armbrust is quick and easy, and they called me when the tech was on his way. Adam was very professional and pleasant to work with. He knew what my issue was and my recent history using Armbrust's services for the same issue (over 2 years ago). Adam answered my questions and provided expert perspective on how certain things in plumbing are the way they are. He even gave me advice on what I can do to delay the next occurrence of my plugged up main drain pipe (it's an issue due to a "belly" in the 2" drain line that over time collects stuff that results in the kitchen sink backing up). We had a broken switch on the sump pump and were worried that no one would be able to make it to our house before the next rain. We called and a live person answered and set up the next day appointment. Adam ***** showed up on time the next day and was very nice in explaining the situation and our options with a new pump. Everything about the technician and the response time of your company getting the part and installing it is commendable! And I appreciate the part being covered under warranty. However, the reason I would not recommend you to friends is your pricing. He was on-site both the first time and second time for no more than 30 minutes each time, yet we were charged for 1.5 hours of labor plus fuel which is at an all-time low! In addition, 30 minutes of labor is $129 when 60 minutes is $164. I can understand getting charged for the hour of labor, but $129 for 30 minutes seems exorbitant! That doesn't seem to compute and does not motivate me to call you again! For example, abt charges $169 to come out and diagnose the problem, then return with the necessary parts at no additional labor charge. 03/25/20 |
