We had a Kinetico water softener for over 16 yrs so we had a new one installed using this company. The Sales person, Victor, was a pleasure with which to work. Straight up - no non-sense - friendly. The installer was Nathan, who was very personable, extremely competent, quick, and has global experience. The equipment fit nicely in the space provided - even the kitchen sink filtration units. We are very pleased with how the system performs to date - but it's only been a week. Look forward to maintaining a relationship with this company and it's staff. A neighbor on the Nextdoor website recommended American Water to me and I couldn't be happier. Donny came out first to do a quick test and patiently explain my options and prices. There was no 2-hour dog and pony show, nor hardsell tactic to get me to sign a contract on the spot, as had been the case with another company. Installers Chan and his assistant came out two weeks later and put my system in. Donny and Chan may have been the nicest servicemen I have ever dealt with. Romaldo came to the house and tested the water. He took time to answer all if my questio ns. My phone calls were promptly returned. He went out of his way to help having the water softener installed before we were moving into the house. Nathan installed the unit. He was punctual and very friendly. Very positive experience with American Water and with Romaldo, who helped us get everything sorted. We only called because our neighbor had recently used American Water and had nothing but good things to say about them. We don't regret it. We got a nice Kinetico system installed and we were even able to finance it which greatly helped, of course. We are still waiting for our RO system to be installed. American Water was waiting for more units to be shipped and they were delayed due to holidays. Other than that, no snags of any kind. When our last softener finally gave out, I began searching for one with a reputation for reliability and dependability. When I contacted American Water, they scheduled me with Romaldo and he called to verify the appointment. He arrived promptly and couldn't have been any better. He was very knowledgeable and answered all of my and my wife's questions. He showed us all the options and explained each in detail. We chose our system and it was scheduled and installed in just a few days. They did an outstanding job and replace all my outdated plumbing connections. Romaldo just came back out for a follow-up visit and tested our water and the installation job. The water is 100% better and everything is performing well. Romaldo was great to work with. He presented the different possibilities and did not get pushy with the most expensive models. He was very helpful even when we decided on a cheaper one. And the cost of digging to install the loop was so much lower. Another company told us there was now way they could even come close to their price.
We are very happy with the whole process: the softener, the installation, the dig and the reverse osmosis filter. This is the second house we have had American Water put a softener in and we would work with them again. Romaldo G. 12/19/16 |

Folks at American Water have maintained large system on my well since 2001 and just installed upgraded, new system. Installers were great, definitely went above and beyond. Service is consistent and good. Last tech was especially helpful with some easier maintenance tips. Always on time and courteous. Folks in the office, especially Laura, are great as well. We had a Kinetico system installed when we purchased our home 33 years ago. We could tell it was not working properly because we started seeing a white residue in our pet's water bowls as well as hardware in the kitchen & bathroom. After an evaluation by American Water of our 33-year-old system, we decided to purchase a new unit. We went through a simple process to finance our purchase and one day later, we had our new Kinetico system. Both technicians with American Water who worked with us were professional and knowledgeable. And that has been true for the last 33 years as they regularly serviced our unit. We definitely trust Kinetico to manufacture a solid product due to our experience with our first unit so we were completely comfortable with purchasing a Kinetico system again. I have chosen American Water for whole house reverse osmosis system installation on my property back in 2013. Their installation services were stellar. Everything went very smooth and I enjoyed high-quality water in my house since that. But even more important, that over all these years I found that I can rely on their service of the system. I was very pleased with my service experience re the installation of my new Kinetico water system. The young woman who helped me decide which Kinetico to get was very thorough with her explanation and scheduling of its installation. Dustin, who was extremely friendly and helpful, could not have been nicer and took plenty of time making sure I understood how it worked, even drawing pictures of the positioning of the levers and taping it over the machine. She explained in detail how the new water operational efficiency system would benefit me. Also...when most professionals would consider after hours. ..Kay was ALWAYS available when I either called or sent her a text. Her response time is phenomenal. We have nothing but great things to say and Romaldo and American Water. We were in the market for both a water softener and filtration system. We took quotes from four different companies.
