We had three quotes from 3 different vendors out here in dripping Springs. Donny our sales rep was great and very informative. He answered all our questions in a very timely manner, didn't do a long Billy May's sale promo. He was honest, direct and very personal and answered every question that my wife or I had. Because of Donny we signed on the line as they where the last vendor. Our Technician Cody showed up on time and worked efficiently and was very helpful in explaining the operating procedures of our Water Softener RO systems. American Water delivered on time and on budget. I also like the fact that American Water has a strong work force made up of Military Veterans. Due to the recent Texas Hill Country freeze, we experienced an outdoor Kinetico pipe break. Once the Austin Kinetico Technician Scheduler understood that I had no way to bypass the Kinetico equipment, she scheduled Chan to repair my broken pipe. He arrived about 430PM on the same day I reported the break. he was so efficient and had the broken pipe repaired in about an hour. It was easy to tell that he knew the Kinetico equipment and how to repair the break. I want chan anytime I need a Kinetico Tech. He represents the Austin Kinetico Company most professionally. Donny and American Water are the absolute best. I had searched and researched a water softener system for over two years because of my concern for my appliances and my home in general. Donny called on me a couple of times before I finally found what I was looking for. We set up an installation time which was the Friday before Christmas of 2017. Due to inclement weather and other factors, they were unable to install the system in one day, but weren’t going to be open again until the following Wednesday. After I contacted Donny about the situation, the general manager instructed them to upgrade my system to a non-electric one, furnished a shed to enclose it in, and did not increase the price. I had a wonderful whole-house system for Christmas at a very reasonable cost. They are the BEST company I have ever dealt with. I recommend American Water to everyone. I am one satisfied customer. Our water system was installed last Monday. The water is fantastic! We waited 23 years to put in a system and I'm so happy we finally did it. We had heard that softened water was salty tasting but that is not the case here and the RO system at the kitchen hydrant makes delicious water so now we will save since we can cancel our delivery of water from Ozarka! We had a water softener in our Pflugerville home for last 25 years. After looking at different options we decided to go with American Water for a Kinetico water softener. The sales Rep Charles Curry explained the system and its advantages thoroughly and we had it installed on November 20, 2017. Everything is working fine at the moment. We had 3 different water softener representatives come to our house. When American Water representative Charles C came to our house, he was honest and knowledgeable. He talked about the different units and recommended the best unit for our house. The other water softener reps were all about a sale. I initially went to Lowe's in Temple to have a Soft Water System installed. I paid the $35 for someone to come out to look at my plumbing that took 2 minutes. Two weeks later, I called Lowe's Customer service to find out when someone was going to come buy, they said they are looking for a plumber. Another two weeks later I still haven't heard from them. I called American Water after hearing them on KLBJ the customer service lady was very pleasant and they had someone at my home in a couple of days to look at the plumbing and test the water. The system was installed within 3 business days after we made a decision. The plumber did an excellent job and was there when promised and was out in about an hour (I was pre-plumbed). American Water recently installed our water softener and RO drinking water system, and we are thrilled. Both are great, and we have noticed a huge difference in our water for drinking and bathing. I first contacted American Water a few months ago as we were trying to figure out how to get a new loop installed (for a home we ended up not purchasing). Everyone that I spoke with was extremely kind, patient, and helpful with all of my questions. I know almost nothing about plumbing, etc. and they did a fantastic job helping me to understand. And they were kind enough to answer my calls and even call me back just to answer my questions before I had planned on giving them any business. We've interacted with at least 5 people from this company, and everyone has been phenomenal.
Recently we worked with Brittney to decide on what system we would be purchasing. She was also very clear, informative, and patient with all of our questions and concerns, both before and after our installation. The estimate meeting doesn't feel like a sales pitch but an informational meeting to understand the value of their Kinetico systems. You're not pressured to buy anything, just to consider the value of American Water and Kinetico.

When I called for service it was scheduled quickly and at a convenient time for me. Service rep was on time and very thorough and clear. He showed me the damage and told me the options and prices but did not pressure me. My water softener sprung a leak after 20 years and was I very pleased to discover the phone number for American Water on the tank was still valid. Justin came out promptly on time and assessed the overall condition of the system and gave me estimates for fixing the existing system or buying new. I elected buying new and in 2 days a team was out to install the new system. They were very professional and efficient. I think I received a very competitive proice and financing options that worked well for me. I was pleased with the entire process from the initial call to the installation. The water tanks are basically the same for the A200 and the K5. They both have two chambers. A200 uses air pressure that decreases as water is used while the K5 uses the house water pressure so water pressure remains constant until most all water is emptied. 08/01/17 |

This is a stand up company. We had a couple of little hiccups during our install and, finally, we found a company that stands by their promises and doesn't pass the buck. These mistakes were flukes and not representative of their services but the manager went out of his way to make sure we were satisfied and our experience was top notch.
