Tony Redmond was an outstanding professional. We lost heat and he worked late into the night to give a temporary fix then spent extra time to determine that some of the parts we needed were still under warrantee and saved us hundreds of dollars. He then came back to make sure everything was installed properly. He is an outstanding employee--if ARS has not given him a big bonus and raise they need new management. None of the other techs we have worked with from ARS were comparable. All sales and some did not seem to know how to service our HVAC system that ARS installed. We were going to walk, but Tony changed our view. He is a leader and if they don't see it--and reward his professionalism--they are simply mismanaged. I lost the review information so this is several months overdue, but the great work made us track down instructions and send this--who does that after four months: A VERY SATISFIED CUSTOMER! Technician Andy Rowe was super. He came in, worked diligently to determine the problem (which was very obscure and hard to figure out) and corrected it. He spent a lot of time on the problem, and his diligence and determination made me very confident in his expertise and in the quality of ARS-Laurel. I highly recommend Quintin for any plumbing job you might have. From the time he arrived, he was very pleasant and courteous and showed great respect for my home by immediately putting on plastic booties. After he diagnosed my plumbing issue, he provided me with a detailed, step by step explaination of the problem and and described how he was going to resolve it. He worked steadily at my home for about 5 hours and fixed the sewage backup in my toilet and shower. After he finished his work, he went above and beyond the call by cleaning the toilet and shower with some Clorox cleaner I had on hand. The work was well done and his customer service was outstanding. I plan to use Quintin for all my future plumbing needs and I highly recommend him to anyone who needs a skilled, professional plumber! Today is Monday, 4/14/2014. The significance being that before submitting my review I wanted to have the project completed before giving my assessment. The verdict is in: As of last Friday, 4/11/2014 ARS completed the installation of our new Carrier furnace and I am completely satisfied with the service all the way around.
This saga began a week ago when our 29 year old Carrier died. I called several HVAC companies but ARS stood out not only because of the reasonable service call but the friendliness of the young lady, and the promptness of the response. (Same day and we were cold because the temperature dropped.)
Mr. Tony Redman came and after looking over our furnace determined it had to be shut down because of the hazard it presented. Based on prior knowledge I was willing to accept his determination. Mr. Redman was also quite patient and understanding of our circumstances. He stalwartly insisted to me I allow him to call Mr. Bill Munson to discuss purchasing a new furnace because of Mr. Munson’s character. Based on Mr. Redman’s character I agreed and I was not disappointed in the least by Mr. Munson. In brief, there are many unscrupulous companies but it was apparent to me from his actions that a sale was not driving Mr. Munson but a genuine desire to assist someone.
Thursday Mr. Munson spoke to Mr. Roth on conference phone to make arrangements for the installation. When Mr. Munson suggested Saturday Mr. Roth confidently responded, “Why not tomorrow!†(Friday).
The next day (Friday) upon returning from an errand I found Mr. Saravia and Mr. Sierra patiently and good naturedly awaiting for my return. They dismissed my apologies and promptly began work. At one point their supervisor Mr. Roth came to check on the progress and he also explained certain needed modifications. At the conclusion of the installation, the area was tidily cleaned up so that with the exception of the spanking new furnace, one would not have known they’d been there.
The entire experience was one of the best I’ve ever had and I strongly urge consumers not to be intimidated by the claims of some large HVAC. I HIGHLY recommend ARS and if I could grade them my grade would be A+++.

On Friday evening, John Q. came to check out my system for the spring/summer season. He was cordial, very efficient, informative and not pushy whatsoever. Greg Smith of ARS was a most professional and amazing service provider. He gracefully managed 7 inspections/repairs in my condo building while making each owner feel as though he spent all the time needed. Moreover, he did a fabulous job advising and educating me about my hvac system. Because of his education and support, I am looking into a new unit through ARS -- I won't consider using anyone else. Greg's support in the local office, Sara Pulliam, has also been fantastic. She has juggled calendars to a fare-thee-well to accommodate the owners in my building. Thanks so much, ARS, Greg and Sara. Our seasonal service call was just completed by HVAC tech JOHN Q. He was very professional, extremely courteous and knowledgeable. He took a great deal of time to diagnosis some issues, did a thorough inspection and got our units ready for the summer months. Discussing high winter electric bills with him he diagnosed a specific problem and made the appropriate repair. I was extremely pleased with the visit and especially JOHN. I continue as a loyal customer of ARS because of personnel like JOHN. Again thanks for a terrific service call.

Steven Jones was great. Even tho I have had my system for many years, he was the first to show me how to read the diagnostic lights in case the system has problems. He was very conscience of not tracking in mud from the outside wearing protective show covers each time he entered my home. He also showed me to to keep the trap clean- again something no other technician has taken the time to go over with me. What a terrible experience! We only needed one drain snaked out. They wouldn't give us a ballpark price over the phone but when they got here they said it would be $319.95!!! I told them that we would have someone else do the job and then they said that there would be a $59.99 "dispatch fee", which was never mentioned on the phone when they said that a tech would come out and give us an estimate. After an hour of arguing about the dispatch fee, they finally left saying that if we wouldn't pay it, they would just bill it. The guy who came out was nice and knowledgeable, but his Manager was very rude. We did have a General Manager call and apologize later and said that there was never a "dispatch fee". It's like one person in the company didn't know what another person in the same big company was doing. Their dispatchers are in VA but they sent someone from MD. It was a terrible experience and I will NEVER use them again. I got the work done for $146 by a certified plumber. Rodney S. 04/03/14 |

Thank you for having such a professional as Donald Lee. He called in advance to let me know he was on the way and gave me a very accurate projected arrival time. He serviced our AC's and in the process discovered we had to clean our blower assembly. He even showed me a picture of the problem. In addition he noted that we no longer had surge protectors which we will now get. I will request Donald for these 2 "repairs."
