We've used A-1 United Heating & Air Conditioning for many years to service our 2 heat pumps and 2 gas furnaces. Let me tell you why we think so highly of them. Their service technicians are completely honest, which always allows me to have frank conversations on all the repair options without feeling like I'm being sold something I don't need. In addition to being very knowledgeable, they also impress me with a commitment to determine what caused the service problem, and not just repair the symptom. I've met about a dozen of their service techs over the years and every one of them exudes passion for doing his job well. I can't say I've ever observed that anywhere else. On some occasions I've called them for advice on issues I felt I could responsibly resolve myself. When I've done so, I've gotten helpful advice without hesitation and with no pressure to set up a service call. On other occasions I've visited the service center and been able to purchase some accessories directly from them, while receiving generous advice on how to install them myself. The guys from A-1 were great from the beginning. They knew the products and made a great recommendation. The installers were fast and professional. They came when they said they would be there and finished when they said they would be done. They left zero mess.

A-1 United provided me with a Lennox Pulse Furnace heat ex changer when the original installer of the furnace told me none were available and that I would have to purchase a new furnace. I called A-1 United and they had one installed the next day. That was Dec 2002 and I have been with them ever since.

Damon is an outstanding sales rep. He is very knowledgeable and friendly, and I would highly recommend he and his company to everyone. Other companies came out and took photos and said it would be a tough job, in a small space. He did not take ONE photo and stated "not a problem". So far the a/c is working fine, and I'm sure the furnace will do well in the upcoming cold season. Everything looks really good.

Slightly frustrating because the repairman could not answer all our questions, we had to call the office to get someone to answer our questions. And we had to wait several days in 90 degree heat for parts to come in. Overall, the two guys that worked on our AC were very professional and trustworthy and the problem was ultimately resolved. We called A-1 when we realized that our Air Conditioner was constantly running and it wasn't able to cool our house. The service technician was very friendly and informed us of what would be needed to fix the old, outdated unit and what outcome it might have. After our discussion, we opted to look into a new unit. The service technician didn't try to bandaid our unit and charge us for service that he knew would probably be needed again. Instead, he did all the work to put me in touch with a Comfort Advisor. That is when we were contacted by Mr. Hill. We received an immediate call from Mr. Hill and we were able to set up an appointment on the next business day. He came to the meeting with two units that fit our house and our budget. He did not try to oversell us anything - which is appreciated these days. Sales and installation personnel were very pleasant and accommodating,. They recommended several options to heat our home and offered several cost options to fit our budget. They worked at offering a most competitive price for my furnace. Instillation was carried out as planned with a very competent installer. After installation, the county inspection agent passed with flying colors. Instillation was neat and clean, with the final appearance of the installations a clean-cut professional job. the install of our furnace went very quickly then we had an issue with our existing AC. not only did they come check it out but gave us a big discount on the new parts and installation. plus they were working about 2 wks out but they had an opening so were able to get our ac working within 2 days. highly recommend them. Our original HVAC was installed by another dealer but we were never satisfied with the services they provided when work was needed. We switched to A-1 and found them to be know more about the Lennox brand and how to care for it. When the 20-year old heat pump died we called on them and had them install a regular A/C. Co. installed your furnace back in 2005. We were a loyalty maintenance customer until Co. refused to work with us when my wife lost her job and we needed help paying our monthly fee. When we needed an air conditioner in May 2014, we decided to give them another chance. Rep. provided a great price, beating the competition and offering additional incentives in order to regain our loyalty. We are grateful for saving money and getting a quality product. I have used A-1 for years to clean and get my systems ready for fall/winter. When both my blowers went out XMAS 2013 on my furnace, they were there that day to get it running. I decided to get a new system since mine was not big enough for my house. They came out that day, went over the different systems and the installation started the next day.

We were having our out a/c unit fixed due to a bad hail storm. Due to the amount of damage do done but not realized buy the insurance company we had to either have expensive parts replaced or the whole unit. With talks from service agents and sales people we were able to work out with the insurance agency the need to have the whole unit replaced. As for honesty they explained to us how if we didn't replace it now we may have parts fail in the next few years. That it would save us money by replacing it now. When our area was hit by a violent hail storm, many AC units were beat up including ours. A-1 United was responsive not only to the initial visit for options, but exceptionally helpful in getting the install going as quickly as possible. Our old AC unit was dead, so the summer heat had crept into the house.

My furnace burned out early in the morning and A-1 was there a few hours later to give me an estimate and provide all the options. It was -30 blow zero and we have a horrible snow storm and my furance went out . I was with out heat for a week and called a lot of companys. That I felt they were just way to much. So then I called A-1 heating and they were so good to me . they took off every thing they could possibly to make it afford able for me . I was with out a job with no money and they were so understanding they recomend Lennox to me and I am very happy They worked with me to get this heat going they were more concern about my well being than the cost of a furance. We selected this dealer for a number of reasons. The product is make in Iowa. The warranty was equal in comparison to two other brands. The price was more competitive to two other brands we reviewed. We believe Lennox is a quality product that will service our needs for several years to come. We owned another Lennox in a former home which we were satisfied with as well.

Had an amazing experience with A-1 United Heating & Air in Omaha, NE. We came home after having my baby two weeks early with a c-section. To my surprise my air conditioning was not working. I wanted to take the time to thank A-1 for their superior service and prompt attention to detail! We love our new furnace and ac units.
I also want to thank Marty, the salesman who came to our house not once, but a second time to answer my wife's questions/concerns. In fact, Marty pushed back his dinner night with his wife to make sure Megan and I were comfortable with our decision.
Marty wasn't pushy at all! In fact, Marty made my wife and I feel like we were one of the family. Marty was so experienced....meaning...when I told him I'm going to get 3 bids from the major brands: Trane, Carrier and Lennox. Marty's first response was, "You should, you want to make sure you understand what your purchasing and from whom." Marty explained in full depth everything, and I mean everything to where I felt I could work for A-1 :)
Marty didn't try to upsell either...he wanted to make sure my family and I would get the best bang for our buck. He provided a few different options, either which would be a very good product. Basically it came down to do I want a high efficient or an 80% furnace.
Marty knew I was going to get other bids, from other organizations. He told me everything they are going to say.....Marty then said, "The key is being comfortable with what you want, not what they want to sell you."
That stuck with me....and you guessed it....the other bids I received were outrageous...complete oversells on things not needed....Marty hit it on the head.....and virtually word for word, that he told me "they" were going to try and sell me.....
Needless to say, we went with A-1 and Lennox! We love it! It works like a ninja....meaning we can't even hear the furnace or ac unit when it comes on.....
