David R. was professional and remedied the problem quickly. He explained the cause of my slow draining kitchen sink and provided a tip so that I can better care for the pipes in the future. But the pipe slowdown definitely required professional intervention; I would not have been able to fix it on my own (as I had tried). He also examined a leaking outdoor spigot and gave me an estimate to replace it, a task not on the original work order but one that he accommodated readily. There was no high pressure selling of a service I did not want or may have wanted to think about first. At all points during his visit, David R. communicated directly and respected my time by not getting side-tracked with personal anecdote. Professional sums it up.

Tim with Rooter Man was my second attempt at having a plumbing problem fixed in my new house. He arrived earlier than expected and actually took the time to explain to me step by step what he was doing. He made it easy for me to understand what work was being done and was genuinely happy to do so. He seems to truly enjoy his work and it shows. He took great pride in doing a good job. I have been a 'happy camper' with Tim and Tammy and Rooterman in general. I have used them for every plumbing need since Aug 2011. This is the review I gave at the time: I noticed a small leak a drain pipe in the basement of my apt house.. I thought it was going to be a simple task, so I went home to get my tools. As I thought about it, it was too simple. I had numerous easy access points to clear the drain. So remembering Murphy's Law and it being a Saturday, I checked out Angie's List and called Rooter-man (based on his reviews). They sent Tim. Tim arrived in less than 90 minutes.Tim took a quick look an showed me a small crack in the pvc drain pipe. However, there was no clog or water when he arrived. He said, "something made the water back up this far, but it's gone now." Well something does not come close. In years past I have had roots removed from the sewer line and expected more of the same. He brought out his cleaning snake and went to work. About 20 feet in there was a massive clog. He had to run the snake down a dozen times to get it all. Out came a few roots, but the majority was non bio-degradable paper products. These item would have been flushed completely to the city sewer line. He kept 'hitting' something 30 feet in that was stopping him from further snaking. He sent down a camera to look. Something metallic appeared on the screen. After another few snake attempts, the claw hooked on something. It was a GARDEN TROWEL. Only in my sewer would you find a Garden Trowel. We had to photograph it. After that was removed. all went well. The trowel was the real problem in preventing a clean flow to the city sewer. A 2hr task went almost 6 hours (in 95 degree heat). Tim was truly great. You could see the frustration of snaking and resnaking in the heat, but he was not going to let the drain beat him. I am so glad I called for a professional immediately. I would have spent time and money fixing a small leak only to be surprised by the bigger problem later. I have written 9 other reviews about Rooterman over the years. This was the last review. It is the last because I have not had any problems since. However I have a pair of old water heaters that have I NEED TIM written all over them. 07/13/2017 I called (I have these guys on speed dial since I use them for all my plumbing needs) and Tammy asked "how can we save your day?" I asked for Tim to come by and fix my woes. As this was not an emergency, ( and in the past they have responded very fast to my emergencies), I asked for a specific day at a specific time and as usual, Tim was there. After listening to my description of what I thought the problem might be, he did some quick checking and gave he his diagnosis. Since he was here, I asked for a new shutoff valve in my bathroom area. A previous plumber had removed it original when the bathroom was remodeled (years ago). After a written estimate Tim completed the work. The work was not a new drain system (which was my thought), but rather just a snaking out of the line. Some 20 feet down was a collection of hair and lint (maybe some food by-products too). Apparently not a big enough blockage to clog the drain, just big enough to slow it down to where it could back up (as it did). Tim installed a new shut off valve as well. Bottom line, when Tim left all was good. Shut of valve works, no leaks and two large wash loads back to back flowed freely. Sincere thank you. Oncec again, Thank You Tim. I will be calling for the water heaters in the fall (unless they fail first).

One lovely Spring day during the "stay at home" phase of the NY pandemic, our kitchen sink drain backed up.  Of course we freaked out, what do we do?  After numerous attempts, opening up basement pipes, Draino type chemicals, my husband gave up and we called Roto-R.     A very good thing we did!  Bill arrived at our home promptly at the designated hour.  Spoke to my husband about our unsuccessful attempts to declog the drain, assessed the problem and got to work.  Bill pointed out we have a "weird" (my word, not his) configuration of drain pipes in our basement, a lot of right angles where potential build up occurs and clogs result.  Not only did Bill unclog the drain, he educated my husband and I on tips to prevent it from happening agian and recommended a safe chemical agent to use should it happen again. I was thoroughly impressed by Bill's professional, knowledgeable and common sense approach.  One word to describe the experience is :  Phenomenal!!   as well as:  Totally awesome!!  We would highly recommend RooterMan and would not hesitate to call on them again.  Of course ask for Bill.

Tim did an awesome job! He was very knowledgeable about the problem and gave me prices up front. This is my second time using Rooter Man and I can say, I won't be choosing a different company to handle any future problems. Our kitchen faucet was leaking. Tim arrived on time and was very friendly and professional. His co-worker, David was also friendly and knowledgeable. He quickly assessed the situation and fixed it as diagnosed. Tim was clean and explained the company's procedures and benefits of his company. The initial conversation that a potential customer has with a customer service rep of a company can either make or break whether or not a person will choose that company. With that being said, Tammy was very pleasant and throughly explained everything. I was pleasantly surprised when Tammy told me they could come out the following day. The next day our technician was Tim M who was also a pleasant to chat with and explained everything, even when I needed to have him explain things more than once! lol. Tim ended up having to come back the following day due to no fault of his own ( we ended up deciding to install a new toilet, we wanted to purchase it ourselves so we needed to run out and purchase the toilet) Upon completion of the installation I didn't have to go upstairs and clean up after him, everything was left spotless! Fair pricing, knowledgeable technicians, friendly customer service personnel and prompt service.... all reasons for me to recommend rooter-man! Thank you Tim M and Tammy!

Saved the day on a weekend! Took the time to not just fix my clogged drain, but thoroughly inspect and scope it to confirm that the issue was actually fixed. Also gave good advice for preventing the issue in the first place. And all for way less than my (now previous) plumber would have charged! These are now my new go-to guys.
