Kotz replaced a sump pump for my 84 year old mother, and charged her $600 for a 15 min visit. This pump did not solve the problem and her basement flooded while doing a load of wash. After several phones, I finally spoke to Natalie who said that Kotz plumbing was unwilling to fix my mothers plumbing. I proceeded to ask for a our money back since they did not repair the issue. Kotz plumbing promised to have a manager call me, but again no phone call. I am really disappointed that Kotz, a family owned business is taking advantage of a elderly person, and more disappointed in the lack of integrity and customer service.

This is the first time we had Molly service our furnace/AC. She was very pleasant and efficient. She discussed a couple possible additions to benefit the air quality and one that may reduce the amount of electric bill. I allowed the item that should reduce my electric bill. The air quality item may be requested at another time.

Allen K. was here on May 19, 2021 for annual A/C maintenance. Called ahead and was right on time as usual. He has been here in the past for previous maintenance on Furnace and A/C. I knew what to expect from Allen and I was not disappointed as usual. He is one of the best at Kotz in regards to effecient and knowledge of the equipment. He advised me regarding my filter size on the furnace in the fact that it was allowing air to flow into the home bypassing the filter because I was crimping the filter a bit to make it fit. He also suggested that since I had a surge protector on the furnace, I should probably have the same on my A/C Unit. I agreed and when he was checking the conncetions and voltage on the A/C he found that a mouse, and we know is was because of the evidence left behind, had chewed a wire into that cause a compaciter to be destroyed. So he replace that. He also took the cove off of the A/C and cleaned the unit top to bottom inside and out. It looks like a new unit. All in all, Allen did an outstanding job as always, and I will always request him for any work needed from Kotz. I can't always get him, but I try. Scheduled and coordinated a repair at my home a week out only to have them call me the morning of the repair to tell me they decided that they can’t do the repair which now leaves me in a lurch. Poor service & terrible communication. I was always happy with Dennis at Oxford Plumbing, but not Kotz.

While Norm was working on an earlier problem with my furnace, we talked about a problem with uneven distribution of heat. I have a ranch with the thermostat located close to the one end of the house. After evaluating things Norm recommended that the best way to address the uneven heat distribution would be to move the thermostat to a more central location. He also said that by upgrading the wiring at the same time, the thermostat would control the furnace staging, resulting in better efficiency. I made an appointment for Norm to come back and move the thermostat, which he did in a timely and efficient manner. He made the job look easy, which is what happens when you have the right tools. I can tell already that there is better heat distribution. Next winter when the weather gets much colder, I think I will really appreciate it even more. Thanks Norm.

not sure where to start, Bill the plumber was great, but in the end I was charged $900 for 4 hrs of service. That included $50 worth the parts and $250 to watch water drain, really???? will never use kotz again and will make sure everyone knows what happened with Facebook and all other local media. Kotz is horrible

I would definitely NOT recommend Kotz. I have used Oxford Plumbing for years, when I needed service at one of my rental houses. After Dennis retired, Kotz bought the business and I gave Kotz a try. They charge $84 just to drive to the house and if they do the repair, the $84 is extra (not folded into the repair). Bill, the plumber estimated the job would take 1/2 hour and minimal cost for parts (installing a rubber boot on a washtub drain pipe). I estimated $100 in my head. Bill checked his tablet and estimated roughly $398 and then add the $84 driving charge. It pushed the cost close to $500 for a 1/2 hour repair. I called the plumbing coordinator, Ashley, to see if I could get a reasonable estimate and she said it sounded too high and she would call me back. She never did. I ended up driving an hour to the rental house and repaired the drain myself in about 20 minutes (parts were about $12 at Home Depot). I am still looking for a good plumber for my rentals when I don't have time to do it myself

Molly arrived early to perform yearly maintenance on my furnace. She was very pleasant and answered all my questions. She is very knowledgeable at her trade. In performing the maintenance she found a small gas leak and had it taken care of quickly. I would highly recommend her to anyone. I will ask for her to maintain my HVAC.

We had a seasonal review with Chuck Acree, not pictured, he was extremely polite, gave good advice, and was very friendly. Have purchased Air conditioner unit and on demand unit for heating and hot water. Very pleased with all of the many Service Pros we dealt with for the different installations. Bill Caryl
