We used ARS for our AC installation previously and was happy with the job performed. Yes the price was extremely pricey but decided to go with ARS due to the financing and no interest option for 24 months. And it was the middle of summer and we were without AC for several days and desperate. So when our water heater went out my partner called them up and scheduled appointment. Cole came out and advised us we needed a new water heater. I repeatedly asked for a breakdown of the cost such as how much does the water heater cost, installation and so forth. He quoted 6 year warranty $2795 and said we can give it to you all for $3000. On his iPad he had a variety of cost depending on warranty. My partner asked for for a 9 year warranty it’s like $200 more? Cole looks up and says yes and says we can give it to you for $3200. Unfortunately because my partner is not a handyman and say yes. I again question the price due it didn’t seem correct since if you go to Home Depot and can get a water heater for like $500. My questioning went unanswered. In the end we schedule the installation. I called that night to ARS and asked for a breakdown again and lady said I can get that paperwork from the technician when he comes to install. Next day they came to install took about 3 hrs for installation. Asked for paperwork and tech has none to provide. My brother came from out of town told him the cost and he couldn’t believe it. He looked at the installation and couldn’t find anything special that would cost $3200 to install. His water heater went out it was $400 for the water heater and $200 to install. We found the same water heater with same warranty 9 years at Home Depot for $660. Called ARS on the following day again asked for a breakdown and lady told me they don’t do breakdowns and then preceded to quote a message of cost. This is cost and that’s final. She would have customer service call me but they will provide me with same info. It’s been 4 days since I spoke to the lady and still no call from anyone from the company. I will never do business with company or refer anyone to this company. If a company can not provide a breakdown of cost then obviously it’s a scam.Do your business elsewhere.

I was yelled at by the scheduler and charged twice for maintenance plan. My experience with ARS was not good at all.

I only worked with ARS because of home depot purchase of central AC unit. Today I called because I smelled wire burning from the attic area. My husband went to the attic, hear sparks and could see a visible burn mark on the box. The scheduler was rude almost from the beginning of the conversation. The scheduler yelled at me repeatedly stating they can come out July 6 or not at ALL. Now I'm trying to explain to her that I'm afraid of my house burning down because an installer error but she stated to me you don't want me to tell you what you can do. Now in order to be seen as a priority customer I need to pay for this $10 a month plan or $180 plan. And because of the extreme heat and their business schedule (which I understand) I may be seen next day after speaking with the third scheduler. I asked if I had another company come out will I be reimbursed and the answer to that is I'm just the scheduler. I spoke with three different schedule just to get a little help. And I asked for a supervisor and even asked for Rene from Quality to be emailed to contact me. I was told very rudely she will not contact until 3-5 business days. I ask for a manager or supervisor. I was told there is no one for me to speak too. P.s...Ok, the Technician Ricky Rodriguez came over to fix the problem same day after paying the $180 bucks and he is just as rude as the scheduler. My husband asked Ricky why did we experience the burn out of this item and Ricky looked at my husband then stated I'm not here to argue with you. And I'm not Houdini. I can not answer that for you. These things just happened. Man what a experience I tell from start to finish terrible. I guess asking him this question offended him. They charged me the $180 twice. I hope this nightmare end. I will never use thus company again.

We called ARS because we had a problem with our upstairs AC unit. We called ARS because they had installed our units in 2008 and had been servicing them since. Peter Wabbel was assigned to us. He arrived promptly within the time frame we were given. He provided a complete analysis of the situation with the upstairs unit as well as the downstairs unit. He provided 3 options for solving our problem with zero pressure on which we should choose. He was kind, courteous, funny at times and at no way pushing any solution. We chose not just replacing the coil but doing a system upgrade. Our choice was mainly based on age of our system and cost. It was a very good exchange and dealing with him was pleasant and professional.

Miguel Jimenez, Jr. with ARS / Rescue Rooter Austin did a excellent job. Another guy was not able to finish the job, but Miguel had more experience and was able to get the job done quickly. Only issue was that the cost was more expensive then I had thought.

On 8-16-18 a tech, Peter, came to check my a/c unit out as it was not cooling, He informed me that the Fan Motor died but was under warranty and he replaced it. I paid him $350 for labor, no charge for the fan. I mentioned to him at the time of completion of the job that the motor was way too loud and he said he thought it would calm down with time. Well, my next door neighbor came over to ask me what was wrong with my outside unit it was really loud even in her house. I gave it some time but the noise continued at that high level. Jan. 11, 2019 I ask ARS to please send out a tech with excellent experience and fix the noise and check my system, you sent Peter Wabbel. He worked on the unit and was able to help some but it still was not right, however, I was willing to try again. June 11, 2019 I requested Peter Wabbel come do my summer check per my service contract. When he came I again asked about that noisy fan. He apologized over and over for the grief that fan had caused (it would wake me up at night every time it came on) and promised y'all would make it good. He also found the capacitor was going out. The next day, June 12th he came and repaired my unit and I no longer am aggravated during the day with the awful noise or being awaken out of a nice sleep several times a night. My neighbor is thankful too! If every tech was as kind and efficient as Mr. Wabbel, having mechanical troubles would be reduced to a minimum as you know you are being taken care of. It is my pleasure to spend my time praising someone than trashing them. Thanks for providing a professional like Mr. Wabbel. I will request him in the future Melba 'Jody' Owen

Mike Fobbs has come to our house several times to do our semi-annual HVAC check. He's friendly, thorough and doesn't mind all the questions I ask. I highly recommend him and ARS/Rescue Rooter Austin.

I scheduled an appointment for today in Austin, TX and was given a window frame 8am - 12pm and it is now 1:30pm and still no show. I called spoke with dispatch who said was next in line still no one. I called to speak with the manager Renee K and have been waiting over an hour for a return call. Price to come out is cheap but not worth it as I had other things planned today in the afternoon. If I recall correctly, I believe this was the same company I called last time who was a no-show. Absolutely ridiculous wasted a whole day.

Mr. Mike Fobbs came to my house today to do a routine maintenance job on my HVAC. I asked him if he would be ok with me sticking around and watch him work due to me just being curious about the process. He said absolutly and walked me through all the steps he was doing and what it meant. At the end I needed a couple of pounds of Puron and he walked me through that process as well. I appreciated the lesson from Mike and the conversation. I highly recommend Mike Fobbs and ARS for any HVAC work!

Initial visit by Tim provided profession advice after his diagnosis of my upstairs unit. Service pros 849, 1402 and 1652 arrived as promised the next morning to install new unit. After explaining the process, all worked effectively and professionally ensuring a quick clean, painless installation of the new unit’s components. They even addressed and repaired issues with my downstairs unit at no extra charge. Their actions have renewed my appreciation for excellent customer service. Great job!
